酒店地理位置非常方便，市中心购物吃饭都很近，很古老的一个酒店，古色古香，还曾经是查尔斯王子和戴安娜王妃光顾过的酒店，除了没有停车位不是很方便，但是旁边有个一天8澳元的停车场可以停车，对于这个性价比，这点停车费不算什么

Brilliant night at Hotel Shamrock
My friend and I had a brilliant night in Shamrock. It was so incredible to stay in a building with so much history and they have really kept so many of the original features. We particularly loved the lego Shamrock!

Not worth the money
Two main issues, the first was that I was sold a dish in the restaurant that was clearly off. While they replaced it, the waitress admitted that the rice was 5 days old over the Christmas break. At this point, you couldn’t have served me anything I would eat, especially after the thought that I was eating 5-day old chicken risotto. The second, we had the expensive spa suite with my partner. While using the spa and jets, all the dirt and grime came out into the bath and completely covered it, like it had never been cleaned properly. I tried emailing the hotel twice as there was no management when we left, and I have no heard a response. Even sent photos in the hope of some compensation, but nothing. As a previous Bendigo local, I’m actually embarrassed that such an iconic location would be so disappointing.

Good value in Bendigo
Good value in the centre of town. A beautiful heritage hotel. The food and drinks are fine. Lots of restaurants and cafes around. Near the park. Parking was a problem on New Yesr’s Eve. The staff were great.

Ripped off
Not so good. Put chair against Door at night- to feel safe. Looks not good. Told three standards in hotel at checkout- mine lowest- cracked tiles in family bathroom floor. Glass black up 3 inches- filthy shower on ledge around just outside shower all way around. Toilet needs cleanser. Breakfast extra cost- only eggs or raisin toast - no fruit choice or yoghurt. Bistro did have decaf coffee and lactose free milk. Windows all rotten at base. Not sealed and hear all noise from outdoor night place 3 doors away so hard to get to sleep until well after midnight. Do not clean room or make bed unless you see sign in room and let them know between 9-5 pm- as out b4- 8 am and when back late too exhausted to drop into office- welcome pack says dial 9 for office- but no phone in room - web page says 4 star hotel yet no mention that old heritage like mine to renovated modern- nothing on hotel.com says anything about room quality yet I thought I was paying for a good quality room - I took own tea bags. Only Old English tea or normal Nescafé - not a fan either . Ironing board needs new padding underneath as ruined some clothes when ironing . Desk drawers fall open if no chair there to hold shut. Old chair in room absolutely filthy and bit thread bare like picked up from rubbish heap and suspension /padding worn out . ( one used in web page photo years ago when clean?)I put a towel at bottom Doir to block light coming into room. No fly wire screen on window. Sheets clean on top bed.

Reception was very helpful. No onsite parking so will need to find street parking. To get to the front door you have to manoeuvre past homelss people that I could see was worrying for older guests. We ate in the lounge and staff were fantastic. Bed was amazing. Room could do with a spruce up but was comfortable.

My room was nice and very clean although it’s an old hotel 🏨 the bathroom needs updating. Needs blockout curtains as my room was opposite the parking garage so lights are on all night may as well slept with a light on. Very noisy lots of doors banging and windows in my room banging and tapping all night they don’t seal shut very old Had a terrible night sleep up and out of there by 7am Happy for a call back

Sad to see such an icon so run down
Very tired and rundown. Hard bed. Service was very perfunctory. Smallish miserable room. No attention to detail. Such a shame to see such a historic icon so neglected. Posters everywhere about how green they are whilst providing single use plastic toiletries - obviously only interested in saving money on housekeeping and laundry and not reducing their impact on the environment.
