Great location

Great location, in the center of Catania, within walking distance from major attractions, shops and restaurants. The building is from the 18th century, so don't expect anything modern. The rooms are clean, big and in fairly good condition.

A good stay in good location, fix a few things

The hotel is great and in a wonderful spot. The gentleman who greeted me was great and helpful. I would correct a few things- additional pillows, the AC was not cold, and maybe install a water fountain or machine. the place had a coffee machine and hot water which was great! overall, i would stay there again.

I really liked the location and the decor of the building - inside and out. The pricing is very reasonable and the staff is great. I had a large room with private, external, bathroom down the hall. Room was great; bathroom sadly had some issues with water leaking onto the floor, but this was duly reported to the management, so should not be a problem in future.

I enjoyed my stay here. Although the reception is not 24/7 (as they warn us) and is often unmanned during the advertised hours i found the reception team very friendly and helpful. My room (202) was very spacious and looked over the main street; aircon worked ok. WIFI great. Location is excellent. Good value.

Would not recommend this hotel. I arrived with the taxi service provided by the hotel ( paid extra) and when I arrived I was not called to check in. Manager stated they had no water. Why did he not tell me this prior to after check in time. I was left with finding a last minute hotel at 6pm. Manager did offer another hotel but was not the same ratings as this one . Bad communication as I should of been told of this prior to arrival

Be aware that the hotel doesn’t have elevator. Some rooms have very small windows, no access to natural light. The breakfast has limited choices, could have more fruits options. The location is good, and the building is nice.

The location in the heart of the city center is PERFECT!!! Right in the middle of everything with tons of dining and shopping options. The entrance is on a quiet side street with controlled entry which helped make me feel safe because Catania is a VERY busy place. The hotel is in a big, beautiful, historic building. My room was very nice but I wish the shower had been cleaner. Also, keep in mind that reception is not always open so if you arrive during off hours, it's a good idea to call ahead. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and I'm so glad I chose it

Check in was perfect, they let me drop my bags off early so I didn’t have to carry them round. Check out on the other hand, I needed to check out at 8am and there was no one on reception. It is supposed to be staffed at 8am. I called the number on the door and got send to voicemail twice, in the end I missed my bus and had to wait at the bus stop for forty minutes for the next one

Lovely hotel in a great hotel

Stayed here last weekend for three nights. Taxi found the hotel fine and we was able to check in early and no extra charge. Process was smooth and staff spoke good English. Hotel rooms was great. We had a superior double. Room was big, clean and bathroom was large and well equipped with a great walk in shower. Felt very safe as there was a lock on the front door, key pass on floor (we was on the second floor and there is a lift) and key for the room. Location is great. 5 mins walk from a lot of sights and main shopping and small walk to other sights and bars and restaurants. We was able to walk everywhere and didn’t need to use public transport at all. Pic is the ceiling in our room. Great value too and would thoroughly recommend. Thanks to all at the hotel.

One night stopover before holiday inland

This clean and comfortable guesthouse is right on the one of the main streets in the Historic Quarter, Via Etnea. Although its right in the action the bedrooms are located to the side of the property which is on a little road so not too noisy. Lots of lovely shops and buildings. Breakfast wasn't offered but it isn't needed as there are so many cafes on the doorstep. If you can get in, go for Pizza at Al Vicolo Pizza and Vino just around the corner - fabulous vibe and so pretty with all its fairy lights in the evening. Hosts at the Guesthouse welcoming and accomodated our early check in request. You can also leave luggage there when you check out. We took the Alibus from the Airport 4Euros. Very easy and drops you an easy 5 minute walk from the accommodation. I don't recommend walking down near the train station, the area is very scruffy with sadly alot of homeless people around. We didn't feel unsafe but I might have done if I was a woman travelling on my own.
