Great peaceful place that our family thoroughly enjoyed! Our unit was much more spacious than the photos so we had lots of room. It also had everything we needed to feel right at home! We loved being in nature with animals and all but also still very close to town! We will definitely be back!

House was fantastic! Great views, comfortable lodge to stay in. Kitchen, rooms and bathrooms are updated nicely. The property management was responsive and helpful with my questions. I will gladly stay here again on my next trip to Ft. Davis.

The place was so nice. Clean and comfortable room, the full kitchen made it easy to cook and have snacks and the full size fridge held drinks and everything else we brought in coolers. The staff was top notch and was so accommodating. When were there it wasn't very crowded and we often had the pool to ourselves! It was so lovely. Beautiful views from all directions. Quiet evenings with tons of stars! Pretty close to town and the state park too. And for a quick hike or stroll around the botanical gardens, the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute is right across the street. All and all a great place to stay in the Davis Mountains.

What a wonderful place to stay. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. We were able to sit outside at night and see the stars so clearly. The views are amazing and I would recommend High Frontier to anyone wanting to stay in the Fort Davis area.

We were looking for a quite place out of the hustle of the city. This place was perfect. Very nice room with a wonderful bed that was awesome after a couple of long days of hiking and watching the stars. Pay attention to the welcome e-mail because you go straight to your room like an Air B&B. We would recommend for sure. Also, our Golden Retriever loved it as well.

We stayed at this wonderful property 2 nights and wish we would have had more time to spend there. The property is on a beautiful setting. You have wonderful views of the mountains and wide open skies. It's located very conveniently to of course Fort Davis with a short drive you can be in Alpine or Marfa. It's also close to the McDonald observatory and not super far from Balmorhea State Park. Will definitely stay here again!!

We had a wonderful stay at the High Frontier. Corina and the staff were extremely helpful, especially when I forgot to check messages before arriving on property for all my arrival info. Internet/cell service is spotty on the property, but the rooms do have Wi-Fi that reaches outside as well. The rain fall shower head was wonderful After a long day of exploring and the bed felt like a cloud. The view from the front porch was amazing! It was a nice spot to sip on my morning coffee. The High Frontier is in an excellent spot for a home base when exploring the Davis Mountains and the surrounding communities, I can’t wait to visit again!
