Friendly Staff, comfortable place to stay

We received nice greetings from hotel staffs while step into the guesthouse, with delicious warm coffee and welcome afternoon tea includes scones and various flavored bread. Two single bed room was not spacious but very comfy includes all the necessities like steady water pressure of shower and proper soft bed. 上午約莫11:30抵達即享用了份量扎實的迎賓午茶 ，有熱咖啡、司康和各種風味的麵包。雙床房空間雖不大但設施用品齊全。床墊軟硬適中，浴室水壓水溫穩定，暖氣溫度也很舒適。住宿點距離車站稍遠但夜晚寧靜不吵雜。隔音普通，可能房型位置樓下就是廚房所以稍稍容易聞到些許油煙味但不至於困擾。整體住宿體驗很滿意喔～

寧靜優美的酒店

升級到現時的套房，很大景觀開揚。傢私床鋪有點舊，老式煮食爐具。 毗鄰是科克大學城，早晚校園美景。去巿中心要行10分鐘，酒店後面有巴士到達，鍾意在巿區逛的始終有點遠。早餐9歐羅，物超所值，但上餐很慢，趕時間不宜。房間衣柜內竟有到頂的熱水爐，稍令人不安心。服務人員有禮細心。

They were incredibly welcoming, very cordial, and gave great recommendations on where to eat in Cork. It's located right across from UCC which has a beautiful and scenic campus, and is within a 10-15 minute walk of everything you need in the main part of the city, but just enough outside to miss any city noise. The scones they give for the introductory tea and at breakfast were honestly so delicious! The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and as a king size that was two singles pushed together (which is common practice, so that's not a downside) it was barely noticeable because they used a high quality mattress topper. The only downside is the bathroom which was very little, but still we had a wonderful stay. Be mindful that when you book through third party websites like this that the breakfasts aren't included at will cost an extra €14 each if you choose to avail of it (but do because it's really something else).

Garnish House is a lovely little B & B. Reasonably priced located within walking distance of the city centre. The staff were efficient and friendly. I would have no reservations in recommending Harnish House for accommodation in Cork City.

Good location, clean and friendly.

First, the good: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the location is really good, just next to the Fitzgerald Park and UCC. The hotel was clean and pleasant, and the bed in my room was big and comfortable. However: I stayed in a single room. These are usually fairly small, but that room was surprisingly tight. There was barely any room to move around, or even to sit next to the small table. In the shower, there was a constant smell of bleach that didn't go away.

Simply the BEST!!

Absolutely wonderful! I simply can't rate this place highly enough! On arrival, guests are shown to the dining room and presented with a sumptuous afternoon tea selection of home baked goodies, jams and a pot of tea - amazing! The duty manager who greeted me was extremely welcoming and helpful, taking my bags to my room and explaining details. My room, though small, was delightful, spotlessly clean, quiet and very comfortable. My request for a lower floor room - I have limited mobility - was happily granted. Whilst staying at Garnish House, my sore throat and cold developed into a sinus infection and bronchitis so I wasn't able to go sightseeing. However, my lovely room was a welcome retreat. Late checkout of 12pm (standard policy at Garnish House) was a lifesaver for me meaning that I could rest in bed until catching a taxi to my coach. When I did finally surface to say goodbye, a dear lady (I think she was the owner) greeted me and said just to sit in the lounge to wait for my taxi and she'd get a cup of tea for me. Bless her, not just a cup of tea but a whole pot together with scones, butter and jam!!! In every aspect - service above and beyond the norm, room condition, staff, value for money and location (very handy to town) Garnish House Guest House excels. I certainly wouldn't consider staying anywher else if I 'm fortunate enough to revisit Cork in the future and I highly recommend it to all travelers.

We stayed for a short weekend break. The service as impeccable. The room was on the small side, but suited our needs for the short stay. The walls with the adjoining room were a little thin, and later in the evening we could hear the room neighbours.

I love this place. ome here every year. It's what it is - friendly, welcoming, all the essentials - and best breakfasts ever - = the rooms are slightly small and the bathroom fittings can be eccentric - the central heating is also a bit iffy and the views are grim BUT I'd rather stay here than the posh place down the road.
