Just a bad experience There are no amenities other than a bar The staff seems like they don’t care Kasa and the check in process is a burden Why call yourself a hotel and there are no people there to check you in and answer your questions

Absolutely loved staying here! The staff were so kind and helpful. I was given easy step by step instructions for a stress free check-in process. The rooms are spacious, clean, and updated. The only thing I wish would have been different is that I could eat at the hotel. But as I left, they were working on building a kitchen and plan to be able to serve food in the near future! I am so pleased with my stay, and will definitely be coming back soon!

We loved how pet friendly this hotel was. The rooms are recently updated and clean, with white linens. We did not go to the bar/coffee place on the first floor, but it is open and looks like a nice spot to wind up or down for the day!

Awesome location, right in downtown Elk Rapids. Pet friendly and very clean. Rooms are condo-style and spacious. Accommodations are pretty bare-bones, but good for a short weekend. Part of hotel is unfinished. Looking forward to returning when hotel bar is complete!

We came here for the first time in July 2024. Just visited again and this property is under new management...the updates to the lounge area, service and hospitality are excellent! We were greeted consistently by staff. The new lounge and patio were our favorite. Make sure to get a drink or coffee and enjoy the view. We had an amazing time and will be back!

The vibe has changed from first year it opened. The lobby is now jewel tones , moody vibe, and smells like a men’s cologne from the 70’s. This hotel is located on the water. We were expecting a light, bright, fresh, and clean vibe… which is that of the individual guest rooms. It’s unfortunate that guests must walk through the “ moody/70’s” vibe in order to access the elevator.

I probably should have read up more before I booked. I never saw an employee the entire time I was there. Did not realize that everything was done online. It was clean. It appeared well maintained but as I mentioned, I should've read more prior to booking.

This was a beautiful place, located in a perfect spot. Cute little town you could walk to. Boat harbor was also within walking distance. As well as beach area for swimming. The place is very spacious for a family of six. Downside…there was no microwave to reheat food. There was a wine cooler, but no fridge. We had dirty sheets on top be bed and a dirty comforter on the other bed. By dirty, I mean brown smears. The cafe and bar were not open while we were there at beginning of the week.

Great room. No chairs. No water. No information. No coffee, tried to get coffee at the cafe downstairs, staff ignored me or served others after I had placed my order. Over priced for what is available.

The Dexter will be nice once they get all of the construction done; address the hot water issues, and maybe add a chair to the room and perhaps a floor lamp, as well. In addition, they have the tiniest rolls of toilet paper with no extras available in the room, and they hardly had any shower gel in the bottle to use. Parking is at a premium- especially with all of the contractor trucks using available spots. It is a minimalist style boutique hotel. You will not talk to a front desk person after 6 pm
