The room was clean and tidy. There was ample room for parking in front of the property. Kelvin House is situated in a quiet neighbourhood. I would definitely stay here again, if I revisited the area.

The room was very clean and well presented. A huge tv on top of a small fridge freezer well stocked with breakfast making. There was a toaster, microwave and kettle (with tea/coffee/sugar). Bed was very comfy and there is a sofa. House is in a nice quiet area. The bathroom had a bath with shower over. All clean and stocked. Parking is outside the house on the road. Didn’t meet Monir but the get in directions were clear and complete. Would stay there again.

Booked but didn't stay the night...I didn't want to share a bathroom with someone else (at no point did it state that on his page). Breakfast included???...some bread half a jar of jam, some opened butter and some cornflakes.

There was no.mention that the room was upstairs and that the bathroom was on a shared basis. My wife struggles with the stairs as she is a registered disabled person. Looking at the pictures I should of realised that it was up stairs. On one side of the double bed there was a single bed that took all the room up on the floor making it difficult to get out of that side of the bed.

It’s not a hotel or a B&B - it’s a room in a house with a shared bathroom. On the plus side, it’s cheap and convenient for Durham with easy parking. Room was large enough and fine for a few hours. However it was difficult to get the check in details - took 2 calls, 1 email and 1 text to get the key box code. Strange that you have to open back gate to access the key box. Bathroom was mouldy and there was no hand towel.

Good value for money. A room on 1st floor of a small terraced block of houses. Advert should be clearer that it is a shared bathroom (with one other room) and no sink in the room. A toaster, microwave, and kitchenware are provided but have to do your washing up in the bathroom sink and no teatowel provided. Comfortable bed and HUGE TV. Not as clean as could be e.g. food stains on and around the bin, toaster was quite grimy + corners of the room and staircase had visible dust. Prompt contact from owner. Plenty of free on-street parking.

Lovely clean fresh room. Everything you need for a stay, there was fresh milk, juice, bread,butter., jam in the fridge ready for breakfast. Toaster and microwave in the room too. Plus tea and coffee

Shared bathroom with the other room which we didn’t realise till we arrived. Decor average but comfortable bed. Fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, tea coffee milk bread cereals provided. Loud music outside on the Friday night till 4am. Bathroom could do with some TLC.

This was a nice room for two people and all the facilities were as described. The photos are an accurate representation. Great communication via WhatsApp/text with Kelvin House prior to our departure, which was greatly appreciated. It would be useful to have a mirror in the room as well as in the shared bathroom. We had to wait 20 minutes for the bathroom to be vacated by the folks in the other room in order to use the mirror. The bed pillows were the bolster type and gave us both a stiff neck on the first morning. We had to borrow two normal pillows from relatives in the area so that we could get a good night's sleep. Overall, great accommodation for a short stay in the area though in future we will opt for en suite accommodation.
