Wonderful old school hacienda

What a lovely lovely place, it really takes you back to old school colonial architecture and living. The hotel has developed a wonderful eco friendly hotel with a beautiful garden and pool that should be enjoyed. Food was wonderful and so nice to see that they produce as much of their own food as they can and where they’re unable to, they source from the local community. Our only comment would be that if you were staying for more than one night, the beds are small for 2 so as a family it’d be worth considering 2 rooms but it really didn’t detract from our stay.

Beautiful setting and service . The beds are way too soft and old otherwise the parc and garden are absolutely stunning . The service is excellent too . Be careful check your room first thing for insects .

The Hacienda has a beautiful property. Staff was incredible and the restaurant excellent. The room was somewhat dated, but the AC worked very well, it was clean and roomy. We loved the huge pool surrounded by palm trees. It was a short ride to the archeological site, and the hacienda was a welcome retreat on a hot day. We had a very positive experience at the Hacienda.

Great place to stay very close to Chichen Itza. The property is beautiful and well-kept, with plenty of outdoor seating and a large pool. The cottage-style buildings are adorable and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Service staff were excellent, and the spa experience was exceptional. I’d love to stay here again.

It is really lovely. I had stayed there more than 40 years ago and it was lovely then and it hasn't changed. So nice to take my adult kids this time and have them love it, too. Staff is great. Grounds are beautiful. Restaurant setting is perfect. Food could be better but no complaints. It was way better than okay and easy and the service and setting make up for any shortcomings. I have been recommending Hacienda Chichen for years and will continue to do so.

There is no longer access to Chichen Itza from the property, so you need to drive and pay for parking. The place was alright but WiFi was horrendous and required you to be in the lobby to use it.

Hacienda Chichen is one of our very favourite resorts anywhere in the world! On this most recent visit, our destination was the hacienda and we didn't even bother to tour Chichen Itza. We just love hanging out at the stunningly beautiful pool set amongst the historic cottages and meticulously landscaped gardens of this jungle oasis. Such an idyllic, peaceful spot! The terrace of the restaurant overlooks the grounds and is a wonderful spot to have a leisurely breakfast or enjoy dinner as the sun goes down.

The property we’re trying to charge us for some fruit we bought from the market and had in our room. I’m diabetic and had to eat something little. When we refused to pay, they tried to charge us for beers in the fridge which we did not touch. It definitely was a horrendous experience. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.
