very friendly and helpful staff. Dack gave us very good dining suggestions. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. We were able to enjoy a starry night in the balcony. I have considered the location before choosing this hotel. I do want quiet environment and I am correct with my decision.

Absolutely amazing unit! The staff are SO kind and so attentive (Jackie was the best!). The hot tubs are a great addition to the property so relaxing so be sure to sign up for a session! There is currently construction but we were gone all day so it did not impact us. The unit was spotless and everything was in great condition. This is a wonderful value for the money and a 15 minute walk from downtown.

Old and worn

Nice location near both downtown and the Gondola. Web page pictures not representative of our actual room. Sofa and chairs with big stains, as well as floor. Kitchenette old and worn. Bathroom floor very sticky. Soap dispenser in bathroom broken By far the most disappointing room during two weeks in NZ. Bad value for money.

It’s a little bit funny…

For starters the lady at reception was lovely and yes it’s peak season in Queenstown so the $270 tariff was probably a little too good to be true based around the pictures shown in the listing. However the first bad sign was the opened doors with the TV on with a roasting temperature. The logical place to power the fan was covered with an AP so fan number one had to run from kitchenette. Fam number two was broken and still in cupboard but fan number three was usable in the end room. The bathroom floor was incredibly sticky with feet or socks having to unpeel, the cited view was non-existant and the carpet looked to have DNA older than my 48 years lurking amongst it. In defence of the place it was incredibly accessible to the CBD and by positioning fans and closing curtains temperatures became bearable. Be careful of the stairway and treads, enjoy being out in Queenstown and do your best to line the bathroom floor with towels and you should be ok.

Helpful staff and good value

Thank you to Cora and the team for looking after us. They were all happy to help. The apartments themselves are a little dated and the pictures showing the views over the lake do not reflect the reality…they were probably taken several years ago before buildings went in between. However, it is well situated, only a short walk from town and was good value compared to other accommodation in Queenstown.

A quick walk to downtown Queenstown

We stayed at the Amity Apartments in Jan 2025. It was enough for a quick one night stay. The apartment was dated but roomy enough.
