This unique boutique hotel was a pleasant surprise. Although it is a bit out of the way from the busy streets of Puerto Vallarta it was a pleasure to get back to at days end. The roof pool was so private and relaxing day or night, with a magnificent view of the entire Banderas Bay. The kitchen was available for our own use at any time. We cooked our own dinner one night and had the dining area to ourselves in the beautiful room with a view. Breakfast was provided each morning by the efficient and very accommodating staff that was a perfect start to the day (fresh fruit, toast, jam, and delicious Mexican coffee). The staff were very kind and made every effort to make our stay a great one. The only drawback for some is the long, steep hike up hill to get to the Luna Liquida. There are various routes to get you into town but most are with many stairs and all of them steep. However, we managed them all by walking down and then we walked back up the road with the least steps or took a taxi back for 70 pesos. There were various corner stores and restaurants close by but we loved the option to cook our own meals and provide our own drinks that we could store in the communal kitchen then relax with on the rooftop. We would love to go back again one day to this funky hotel and enjoy its clean, colourful, artistically decorated rooms and communal areas that is nestled in a safe Mexican neighbourhood surrounded by small convenient stores, a few restaurants and many art galleries.
