If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We truly couldn’t have imagined staying anywhere else, and Domačija Log v Bohinju was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Slovenia.
Jurij is, without question, the kindest host I’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel completely at home. He knows absolutely everything there is to do in the Bohinj area and was incredibly generous with his time, helping us put together the perfect three-day itinerary. Every recommendation was spectacular, and we ended up discovering places we never would have found on our own.
The apartments and common areas are absolutely immaculate. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere cleaner, and that’s saying something. Jurij even puts my mother to shame! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The value is also incredible—the pricing is remarkably reasonable for the level of hospitality, comfort, and quality you receive.
One of the biggest highlights was renting Jurij’s high-end e-bikes. They are fantastic quality and one of the best ways to explore the valley, nearby villages, and scenic cycling paths. Be sure to ask him about the secret waterfall that mostly locals know about. It was one of our favorite spots in all of Slovenia.
