Great location, 6 min walk to Safeway and less to coffee and food shops outside the hotel restaurant which is great too. Room was super clean, well appointed and functional. The lobby staff was great and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.

The "hotel" is actually a motel and the room pics on the web are AI generated and make the rooms look much larger than they are. While the room pics and external photos are misleading, the rooms are very clean and current, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have been recently updated and are a good size (especially considering that the rooms are so small) and the staff was terrific. The location is fantastic, smack in the middle of Tahoe city just across the street from "Commons" Beach and only a short drive from Alpine Meadows and Pallisades @ Tahoe. The only real negative that I have is that they play music in the lobby well into the evening, and if your room is in the front of the "hotel" you can hear the music through the walls of the room. While I liked the music that they played, I would rather not have to hear it when I am trying to sleep. All things considered, I would definitely stay here again.

Shower had about 20 black hairs in it so I had to ask the front desk to clean it. Lots of places to hang clothes and even skis/snowboards, but no drawers in the whole room so no where to unpack anything that doesn’t hang. Sierra surf club was fantastic. Enjoyed the view, vibes, food, and drinks

I have stayed twice and likely won’t again. The restaurant is good, a bit all over the place with the variety of the menu but good food for Tahoe. The reason I won’t return is due to the remodel being quite surface level. For example the drain cover in the shower just looks gross. The heater is totally functional but loud, and I think a hot tub would have made more sense than a cold plunge and sauna. A minor but noteworthy issue here is in the rooms. The TVs don’t have standard cable or an easy way to sign into any streaming apps, so after a day of skiing you are left watching the odd Samsung TV channels. Not a deal breaker but cumulatively there are places that net out better for myself. Location is fantastic. During a snow storm they don’t have plowing more than once a day, so be prepared to park on top of ice. You should have a 4wd or AWD car in the inter but other hotels do a better job clearing paths, etc around property.
