No kettle or coffee maker in the room is a deal killer for me. "Missed it by that much" Get Smart. Two very uncomfortable wicker chairs in the room. We were told breakfast was 8 AM but turns out it was 8:30 AM. Perhaps lost in translation. Breakfast was all laid out at 8 but we were not allowed to have it. Bed was OK. It would have been nice to have coffee in the lobby in the morning so that you can sit in the large number of comfortable places and enjoy a quiet morning. Especially with the room with the roaring fire. We wanted to know if we could order wine and sit in one of the lovely rooms but it must have gotten lost in translation. Not sure why many of these places don't have a FAQ in various languages explaining all this. We were there on Valentines day so there was a preset menu. It was good.

Estadia maravilhosa na Quinta da Geia. O hotel é lindo, as áreas comuns são cheias de detalhes, muito aconchegantes, os quartos são ótimos. A vista para a montanha é linda. Passei dez dias viajando por várias cidades em Portugal e a Quinta da Geia foi a melhor hospedagem no país.

Melhor hotel de toda minha viagem. Atendimento excelente, aconchegante, limpo, bem arrumado e de uma beleza impressionante em todos os comodos. Restaurante com variedade e qualidade grandes. Muito bem cuidado e decorado.

Det eneste 4 stjernet ved dette hotel er den smukke udsigt. Hotellet virker slidt og værelset bar præg af slidt f.eks hullet sengestel, badeværelset var slidt og trængte til en opfriskning og grundig rengøring. Personalet er søde men deres engelske er meget begrænset

Prachtig gerestaureerd huis met veel verschillend ingerichte en gezellige zitgedeeltes. Een mooie tuin aangelegd op verschillende terrassen met fabuleus uitzicht en een heerlijk zwembad. Fijn restaurant, ook buiten. Grappig: een bibliotheek vol Nederlandse boeken (van de vorige eigenaren).

The actual hotel is stunning. Built like a castle, warm, comfortable and beautiful. However, there is literally nothing to do around it except several fairly difficult hikes. No wifi, small little pool. It would be a romantic place to unplug and unwind, but for kids or as a base to explore, no.

Estadia agradável, quartos confortáveis, televisão muito pequena. Pequeno almoço razoável. Áreas comuns com uma decoração requintada. Pecou pela noite de réveillon. Serviço terrível, clientes a mais para o espaço do restaurante impossibilitando a deslocação entre as mesas. Buffet servido no hall da recepção, sem espaço e condições. Comida mediana. Poucos funcionários para 70 pessoas...

Very unique property if your looking for that certain quality. Beautiful surroundings and even more amazing biking roads. Restaurant very good and does the best Portuguese tarts all.
