Nice room. Remodeling definitely going on. It was a quick one night stay. Hopefully they update the air conditioning eventually. Over 100 degrees and it wasn't on when we got into the room and it was small so it never cooled off. But other than that we would stay again.

If you are looking for a budget stay and are willing to make some compromises for that, this will work. The current owners/staff certainly do a good job at keeping easily cleanable things clean (linens, towels, bathroom), and invested in some quite nice light-blocking curtains - but the carpet is quite stained and old. Breakfast was a little bit of a joke - the coffee was still brewing, there was no water (cold or hot) available, front desk wasn't staffed so asking for some wasn't an option either...

The best thing about this motel was the staff. They were super nice and accommodating, being willing to pick me up from and take me to the Amtrak station. Even other “better” hotels did not provide that service. The room was old—but acceptable. It was clean, and the shower was okay. The breakfast was middle of the road—packaged pastries and yogurt. I’d stay there again.
