Really lovely hotel. Surprisingly well-maintained for its age (seen lots of hotels in similar buildings that are very shabby, not so here). Beautifully clean, nicely appointed rooms. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Great location for exploring up and down Cornwall. Special thanks to Selim (the hardest working man in hospitality!); there was a bit of confusion around the booking which was sorted promptly for us.

Booked a lodge which was very spacious and relaxing, didn’t use pool etc but did visit bar, not much atmosphere there but didn’t matter as only using for a base. Nice place and good value for money when we stayed

Staff were incredibly helpful and the beds were very comfortable. The whole place is clean but a bit tired- I think they are due to refresh the property soon. Didn't get a chance to use the spa as it closed early at 7 pm. Breakfast was buffet style which was ok though the earl grey tea was a bit weak and tasteless!

The room was clean with everything we needed. The beds were two twin mattress put together which kept separating leaving a gap to fall through which was very annoying and uncomfortable. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Pool and spa was nice, sauna was out of order though but everything very clean. Overall it was really nice for the price and I would go back, just would make sure it’s a full double bed!

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, das Haupthaus ist wirklich schön, das Personal super freundlich. Unsere „Wohnung/Cabin“ war äusserst grosszügig und alles war super sauber. Was uns gestört hat, waren die Teppiche, ein Holz- oder Plattenboden wäre viel hygienischer. Das Frühstück hätte besser sein können.

The self catering cabins are wonderful. It was the most spacious cabin we have ever stayed in. We loved watching the bats from the decking. All the staff we meet were friendly and helpful. The pool was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay again.

If a a beautiful Manor House that has kept a lot of its old feathers. The staff are polite and nice. Our room was a classic room that had a very small window and not much of a view. There were fans in the room in case of heatwaves. Swimming pool and changing room slightly run down but pleasant.
