Not what I expected
Pros for this property:
-tissues were provided (many accommodations in Ireland -do not provide them)
-restaurant located in the hotel
-breakfast included; it was good
-proximity to Kilkenny Castle and other attractions (easily walkable)
-numerous restaurants and shops walkable from the property
-small oscillating fan
-car park location was convenient
Cons for this property:
-phone in the room to contact reception did not work
-small oscillating fan was incredibly noisy (we asked for a replacement, but they were unable to provide one)
-bathroom floor and shower stall need updating, and therefore appear dirty
-no hooks for towels, bathrobes, etc. in the bathroom (at one time there was a hook on the back of the bathroom pocket door, but it was never replaced)
-non-slip bathmat provided was moldy on the underside
-mug provided was dirty (had cake frosting stuck to the handle)
-top of electric kettle was dusty
-hairdryer provided shuts off if it gets too hot; need to wait for it to cool down
-bedside lights are not bedside, they are located directly over your heads on the wall; they cannot be turned out separately (this is a comfort issue if one of you likes to read, etc. while the other gets on with sleeping)
-LOTS of stairs to get in and out of this property
