Lovely property with ocean views, just 45 minutes from downtown St. John’s. Property has an awesome fine dining restaurant, Forager, which prides itself on using locally foraged ingredients. Drinks and food were amazing. Staff were very friendly. Room was very comfortable, with high ceilings, great lighting, modern decor, comfortable bed and linens. Very cozy. Appreciated all the many local touches and attention to detail, including locally roasted coffee, beautiful mugs and dishes. A great weekend getaway!!

Amazing location - loved cottage 9 interior, the views of the Atlantic Ocean, the sounds of the waves, the ecological reserve while in the hot tub, the deck chairs and views. The Foragers dinner was very unique. Great hiking in the area - loved the La Manche Provincial Park suspension bridge hike. Lovely staff and owners. A couple of minor improvements: there are no luggage racks in the room! This is essential in any hotel! Also, cottage 10 has a fire pit which is right next to the deck and hot tub of cottage 9 (where I was) - the smoke of the fire pit ruins the deck and hot tub experience if you're out there at the same time. We had to wait for the fire pit to stop being used for us to enjoy our amenities on the deck otherwise we'd choke of smoke fumes. This needs to change after all the money we spent on the room.

We had an amazing stay! We stayed in the lodge for the first few nights and then upgraded to a cabin for our last night and both types of room were clean and comfortable. We didn’t want to leave and we will definitely be coming back!!

This is by far one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. You must experience the forager restaurant. The staff there, and for the retreat are extremely nice and passionate about their business. The views from our cottage are the most magnificent I have ever seen. There are so many personal touches in the cottages. The hot tub is perfect after long hike up to La Manche. We met the owners and enjoyed their Newfoundland and tors cove tales and recommendations. We can’t wait to return!

The hotel was spotless,clean and friendly. I was disappointed with the room, it had no access to outside, just a small window. Only the more expensive rooms had balconies. We arrived in St. John’s and drove over 3 hours to get to the hotel in dense fog and there was no one to greet us. No access to food. Everything was locked up very disappointing.
