Great Garden Hotel and Great Service
I had a good experience at Namu. The hotel looks new and very well maintained. The service is great all over and they do make you feel special. It is probably one of the nicest hotels in Puerto Viejo. Areas to improve: the pool needs more loungers as they get filled up very quickly; also some of the top floor master rooms are noisy, can hear everything the neighbours are doing and they need some work to seal the noise.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it! The staff was so helpful and kind, the food was amazing, the property was beautiful and clean, and the wildlife was amazing! We saw parrots, toucans, sloth, blue morpho butterflies, black hawks, and so many other amazing animals just from our hotel! So cool.

My husband and I had an amazing time. Our favorite tropical vacation yet. Our bungalow was gorgeous. Staff were extremely friendly. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Beaches were stunning. Extremely hard to leave.

Schönes Hotel direkt in Puerto Viejo und trotzdem ruhig. Hatten einen Bungalow mit privat Pool. Am ersten Tag konnten wir schon ein Faultier sehen dass direkt zum Frühstückstisch kam. Frühstück war lecker hatten wir aber nur zwei mal in Anspruch genommen. Es gibt kein Buffet sondern eine Karte mit sechs Gerichten. Die Bungalows sind sehr modern eingerichtet. Wir hatten den letzten bei allen anderen kann man beim vorbei laufen auf den privat Pool schauen. Direkt an unserem Pool gab es ein Faultier mit Baby. Zwei Angestellte kamen um es uns zu zeigen. Richtig nett. Die Angestellten waren immer freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The property was beautiful. The room itself was beautiful too. The staff was great. Breakfast was delicious and a la cart. I had two things that made our stay not perfect: the water pressure in the shower was really low. I ended up postponing my last shower until we got to the next hotel. We also a water leak in the bathroom.

Great boutique hotel, walking distance to all the amenities Puerto Viejo has to offer. We had a bungalow with our own pool which was fabulous. Service was excellent, as was breakfast which was included. My only complaint...two cappuccinos cost $18 CAD...ridiculous...

This resort is beautiful as pictured! Let me start by saying Francesca was a 12/10! I had many questions due to the location of this hotel. There’s no easy way to get here we flew into San Jose then had to take another flight to Limón and then take a cab to the hotel! A lot of time and a lot of money however the hotel has nothing to do with that! Francesca looked up the flights to Limón also had a van waiting for us she was helpful, patient and explained everything well. We communicated through whats app and she answered me quickly and throughly. The resort is very clean, very tranquil. The food was good and there are a lot of places within walking distance if you want to try local food. The beach is walking distance and easy to navigate. All I can say is be ready to spend alot of money traveling to get to this hotel. When you arrive you will have peace and quiet, the staff is great!

Namu Garden Hotel & Spa is a beautiful hotel, the grounds are really nice. Its more like bohemian style. Our room, bungalow 5 was really nice especially if you like living out in nature with geicos. Not me. It's just not my thing!! I don't do any bugs in my living space!!! They (not one) made plenty of noises at night. The AC worked well at night but still wasn't cool during the day as i would have liked. No toiletries in the room, no pen or paper, no phone, or kleenex. Ladies! The lighting is poor so applying any makeup (if you wear it) would be like guessing what you look like. But to top it off!! If they feel they are unable to clean your linens, you will be charged. They charged me $16 US dollars for 1 pillow case because there was makeup on it from sweating in a 85 degree room after trying to nap before I wash my face. I'm sure they make alot of money from that. I was told if there are red stains, you can forget it. Those days are over for me, lol. Food was ok. Breakfast is free. Location was great. Overall not bad, just not my cup of tea.

The most beautiful hotel in a serene setting with everything you could hope for a comfortable stay. The manager and staff made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in. We were delighted to spend our honeymoon here in one of the private bungalows. The hotel arranged all our excursions with seamless communication. The hotel is perfectly located to walk to the restaurants, shops and beaches of Puerto Viejo. Oh and the food in the hotel is to die for!

Hotellet var fint men servicen dålig. Hade i förväg berättat att vi skulle fira vår 30 åriga bröllopsdag där och gjort en förbeställning på 2 glas mousserande vin till frukosten det glömdes bort och var dessutom avslaget när det väl kom efter att jag fått säga till vilket förstörde hela överaskningen. Maten på hotellet var dyr och en ganska liten meny att välja på. Tonfisken jag beställde medium var helt rå. Vi checkade ut på kvällen eftersom vi skulle åka tidigt på morgonen och ville få ett kvitto, tjejen i receptionen vägrade och sa att hon skulle vara där på morgonen men receptionen var helt tom 06.00, endast säkerhetsvakten var där så det var han som fick ge oss frukosten som vi skulle få ta med. Området utanför och kring hotellet var smutsigt och det var mycket trafik.

The resort was very nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food is not what we expected, being that we were on the Caribbean side of the country. The resort food had beautiful presentation but the actual taste was very bland and not a lot of choices. They do have some cool things to see on the property from animals to fruits.
