The pros: The pool is lovely and quiet. There is a nice little area to grab a beer or a drink after a long day that works on an honor system. Eileen, the hostess/receptionist, is very kind. Plenty of clean towels provided and the housekeeping was adequate.
The cons: The room that we stayed in was stark and cold with limited room for luggage and seating. We had 4 suitcases but there was only one small luggage rack and no furniture with any drawers so we had to use the only two chairs in the room as luggage racks. As far as the neighborhood, there is nowhere to walk to from here. The hotel is located up a long, steep driveway and is a few miles from stores and restaurants.
There is a road below the hotel where there is constant honking of horns as the cars drive by and lots of roosters crowing day and night. We could hear our neighbor's conversations, sneezes, coughs, snoring through the walls, so that was a big turnoff for us.
Not a bad place, but we would not go back mainly due to the room feeling cold and uninviting.
