Wonderful view and helpful staff

Check in is on the 4 th floor. Once we finally found the reception area, the employee who checked us in went above and beyond to be helpful. Gave us a map with recommendations and brought a complementary bottle of wine and glasses to our room. Very friendly. Our suite had an excellent view and plenty of space for our family of 6. Tons to see within walking distance.

Property is located on the square of one of the most amazing and famous sites in Florence. This is an old building, everything is old in Florence, but our suite was very nice. Clean, beds were great, Ramona was a great host, helpful and the breakfast was great! We would definitely return! Florence will be on our stop list again.

We absolutely loved the property with the exception of the entry way. It was a little deceiving when entering the building, but once we found the rooms, we were extremely happy. We would highly recommend this property and stay again when in Florence.

Built in 1322 as the orphanage run by the church. Under going renovations. The room was nice and the shower was good. The view was amazing of the cathedral. Reception is limited hours so make sure to arrange your arrival time

Marcel makes this place worth it

I had an amazing time at Soggiorno Battistero. It was magical to look out over the Duomo and Baptistery. The best part was the concierge, Marcel. He was fun and super helpful and gave us great food recommendations. He even escorted my friend and into our next hotel when we decided to stay one more night. Give him a raise.

Nice area. It’s a B&B didn’t know that at time of booking. Hotel was very loud. It wasn’t suitable for children. They offered the same foods everyday. There is a very tiny room that was for breakfast. It was hard to accommodate family of 5. Not sound proof so you heard everyone in there rooms.

Disappointing experience

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay at this hotel was unfortunately quite disappointing, despite the location being very convenient. To start, the receptionist Marcello(Marcel) took a photo of our passports with his personal cellphone which we thought was unusual. Also, he was very rude and unapproachable. When we did ask for help, he was unprofessional and dismissive. Therefore when we noticed our safe wasn’t working, we didn’t feel comfortable asking him for more help. The room had a strange odour especially in the bathroom. Also, the shutters could not be adjusted and the room had no natural light. Overall, the lack of professionalism was frustrating and disappointing, and we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
