The hotel reception is on the fifth floor, and the building has an old elevator that only works if the door is manually closed. If someone forgets to close it, the elevator won’t respond, and you’ll have to climb five flights of stairs. If you have luggage, good luck. I only found this out because a resident of the building explained it to me, as the hotel provides no guidance.
When I arrived and asked the receptionist how to use the elevator, I was met with a sarcastic “just press the button.”
Additionally, the room cleaning service failed to replenish basic items like toilet paper and soap. I had to call the reception several times on different days to request restocking.
Without a doubt, it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in Europe.
