Loved the location of the hotel as it is very close to everything and on the boardwalk. Parking is very annoying as there were limited spots on-site at the hotel but they had an overflow lot up the street. The walk from the overflow lot was about a block away which wasn't too bad, but it was slightly annoying. The hotel definitely needs a face lift as it does appear to be old and run-down for the price that they charge. The rooms are also extremely small so it is only good for a short stay, I would not stay here for a longer trip (week). I do love that they have a deck on the boardwalk with chairs to sit out and look at the ocean. The staff was nice and our housekeeper was very friendly and helpful in guiding us to the best restaurants in town. Overall it was not bad as we stayed for a weekend and they had a pool, but not sure if I would choose the hotel again.

Stay was good. Room was smaller than what I thought/expected. The room and hotel is older and a little dated, but it was clean and welcoming overall. The price was much higher than usual due to the local events occurring this weekend and proximity to the events. Staff was good. Room was clean. Our view was of the pool side/bar. Parking was a little tough but a guaranteed spot is reserved nearby if the main lot is full.

It was ok

The hotel was ok. I mainly picked it because of the location to the Country Calling Festival. Way overpriced for what it is but like I said, I paid for location. Rooms are old but clean. The hallway by the elevator stayed littered with someone's dropped french fries for 2 days. Nice pool, pool bar and good restaurant downstairs. Overall, ok.

Check in was smooth - except that we were not informed that housekeeping needed to be requested. When we returned to the room, there were 2 bath towels laying on the bed and the dirty ones removed. Nothing else was done to the room. There were housekeepers in the hallway. I told them that there were 2 of us in the room and we needed additional towels. She couldn't understand me and called a manager over. He asked me what I wanted. I told him that the was not cleaned, the beds were not made and the trash was not removed. He asked what it was that I wanted again. I said that I didn't care if the beds weren't made but needed towels and cleaning. I received 2 more towels and he said that the hand towels were in the laundry. He would send some up when they were dry. He did not tell me that we had to request housekeeping. We left the room and expected some housekeeping to occur, but nothing was done. We found out that a request needed to be done each day, on our last day there. We have been staying at the hotel for many years but we probably will not return.

That's All Folks...

I've stayed at Plim Plaza many times over the years... but, sadly, this trip may have been my last. When my husband and I walked into our oceanfront room (#303) after coming off the beach, we were warm and ready for some cool air conditioning. Instead, we were greeted with a musty and broken A/C unit, and loud thumps from the other side of the wall (housekeeping room, I assume). We turned the temp down as low as it would go while unpacking but it never cooled off. I called the front desk and they moved us to a very cool room down the hall. Great... all was good. That night, all we heard was thumping above us and loud music coming off the boardwalk. We eventually fell asleep in the comfortable bed... but not for long. Shortly after 6am, the thumping and stomping from above us and the hallway started again. Overall, the hotel itself just didn't look as clean as it used to be and the musty smell was worse than I remember. This is no slight to the housekeeping staff as they were very attentive. It's just time for the owners to do a massive renovation of this property. I know the prices would go up but this just doesn't seem to be the value it once was... and that is disappointing.

Right on the boardwalk and beach! Easy check in Affordable (mid sept) Small rooms but all you need is there. Hallways are very run down but nothing to sorry about really. Quiet at night….recommended.
