What a fabulous place ,quite breathtaking on approach to the hotel .Staff were very friendly and helpful,we were given an upgrade so that was a lovely surprise and the room didn't disappoint.We had dinner there on our first night which was super. Would definitely stay there again ...in fact have recommended it already to friends who are looking to stay in the next 6 months

A peaceful, luxurious stay to celebrate my mums 70th birthday. The staff looked after us so well and the food was delicious. The location is perfect for exploring Stratford Upon Avon, the Cotswolds and plenty of National Trusts in the area. The room was so comfy and the grounds are stunning

Stunning hotel with amazing staff

Just back from a wonderful two night stay. The hotel and its history is awe inspiring and it’s in such a magnificent setting. However it is the staff that really make this hotel truly amazing. They are all so friendly and really can’t do enough for you. Two stand outs for us were Alex and Frazer - thank you for making our stay so special!

Outstanding service and venue.

Outstanding customer service throughout, incredible grounds and architecture. Hotel was beautiful inside. Room rate did not match the quality of room, so we upgraded. Guess the rate was in driven by the building. Evening meal was good. Breakfast was very poor with over cooked meat and poor attention to deatil.

Beautiful property, lovely grounds and attentive staff. The reception area was awkwardly placed and cramped. As we’re checking in, the woman in front of us is having issues with her credit card and I felt like we’re all just standing there witnessing it because there’s little room to separate us. Additionally, servers with food are crossing back and forth through the area which I thought a touch odd. The Family room was very spacious. I loved the upstairs downstairs separation for the kids and parents, but the stairs and floor were very creaky and would wake everybody up anytime somebody had to use the bathroom. Overall, I think this was a lovely spot to stay at and would include in my itinerary in the future.

My Happy Place

MY HAPPY PLACE This is the third time we have stayed at your hotel. It's totally amazing. We are never disappointed. We have stayed at hotels all over England for mini breaks and although I have enjoyed most of them we seldom visit twice as we like to try somewhere new but Ettington is exceptional. We just keep coming back! The staff always go above and beyond. This is my Happy Place! The staff are always so friendly and helpful it's like home from home. We have stayed in room 33, 34 and now 50. Total outstanding. Beautiful architecture , magnificent building set in multiple acres of outstanding manicured landscaped gardens overlooking the rolling countryside. What more could you ask for. Highly recommend the spa. Tia was amazing. A good massage cures all stress! Our sincere thanks to Jay, Mertom, ( makes the amazing cocktails - highly recommend painkillers!) Tia, Angela, Cora, Alex, Damon, Iris, Tracy, Sam, Rory, Georgina and Ellie. ( Ellie , the specials strawberries were amazing ) You all work so incredibly hard and never complain. I do hope the management appreciates you all. We can see that sadly the owners are cutting corners and you have to multitask, I hope they are paying you more !! Hoping to see you all again soon! Please inform the management of handpicked hotels to stop cutting back on the little extras in the room and fridge - we do notice !!!

Magical getaway

From parking to being greeted at reception to being taken to our room we couldn’t have felt more welcome. We had room service for lunch and dinner in the main restaurant and the vegetarian and vegan options on both menus were superb. The spa was amazing and the family rooms with two floors were just perfect. The grounds in the Autumn time were stunning. I imagine a stay here at any time of year would be just as magical. Thank you for making our stay so special
