My husband was right

The first time I went I was pretty snobbish about the property, but after a couple of stays I could see my husband was speaking reason and that's a very nice little hotel.

It's a very rundown establishment. Walls, baseboards, door, very dirty. The dock and Adirondack chairs are broken and felt unstable to be walking on dock.visually very unappealing. We had travelled all day and knew the deadline to cancel reservation was 2 days prior so we did stay.

Great little find in northern Ontario.

Quaint little motel in the tradition of days gone by. Very well done with the renos. Comfortable beds and pillows. Bathroom was clean with amenities provided. Fridge and microwave in the room. Basic but provided all you need.

Beautiful location, there’s a lookout over the lake, some small trails, a large outdoor fire pit with enough firewood for the year. Also a gazebo and nice clean barbecue with utensils. The dock seemed a little sketchy so I stayed on the center where you could see a support beam below.

Comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchenette. Bathroom fine.I liked that it is on the shores of Lake Temiskaming in a nice, natural setting. New ownership will need to bring the accommodations up to date and take good care of the beautiful grounds. New cleaning staff being hired. Any requests I had were quickly and courteously handled by management. I would stay there again.

The first room was filthy… bathroom floor was not swept or washed.. the tub was stained and full of crusty mildew … the tub Matt had black mould on it.. the show tray was dirty… so I switched rooms .. this room had dust everywhere and the matress was stained

Good value for money. Rooms had been renovated fairly recently, so everything was fresh and clean. The mini fridge/freezer was very useful. Three little issues: one lightbulb was missing from the bathroom light; there was no safety chain on the door; and the bathroom fan was VERY noisey.

Could have been vacuumed better under the beds, when we arrived there was plenty of dirt and garbage under the beds, otherwise very clean. Lamp that is on the nightstand between the beds , was not safely plugged in, the plug was bent enough that it could’ve started a fire.

When we check in the room we initially received had cockroaches they moved us the new room was cleaner but the beds feel like laying on plywood but after driving for 24 hrs were to tired to complain the swimming doc area the water was full of algae so couldn’t even enjoy it. The staff was helpful but this wasn’t the experience we expected

Traveller beware.

This room was listed at market price for the area. Meanwhile ths pillows and pillow covers were old and yellow I put a shirt over the pillows to sleep as they were too disgusting. The sheets were discolored as well...original colour was white. Not sure if the linnen were washed between uses. Someone's else's hair on pillows other than mine. Audio visual equipment in room not operational. Bathroom cramped and dust and dirt accumulated on side of ledges. Walls in bathroom dirty. Is bathroom sanitized between customers ??? Towels in bathroom worn. The owners of this business are not investing a dime in the rooms that badly need refreshing. The pillows are disgusting. Bring your own pillow. Not worth the price.

The property is owned and operated by a young couple who are slowly improving and trying to make a go of the premises. Courtesy, consideration, and cleanliness were top-notch. It will become a beautiful place in time.
