The most dirtiest and disgusting hotel ever

This is the most terrible and disgusting hotel I’ve ever been to and I thank God I never slept there for even for a minute with my family after booking for 3 nights.The lift in there is not working so imagine if your bags are heavy you will have to carry them by yourself by using stairs to your room, bird poo everywhere, spider webs everywhere, mouldy bathrooms, No proper ventilation, Stuffy rooms, no air condition and they cannot provide a basic fan in this hot weather, if you need air you have to open the balcony door so imagine the amount of flies that will come in and I’m sure they will not provide heaters during winter. Due to the condition of the place hotel.com and Buckatree have put this dodgy policy in the booking which is “no refund after paying for the booking”. They’ve posted nice pictures just to deceive people in booking the place and this is a scam, hotel.com is aware of the condition of the place and they a part of this. “Imagine paying for an expensive shoe online and being delivered a slipper”that is what you get when you book Buckatree. I saw people check in and check out right after seeing the rooms so imagine the number of people they’ve deceived in paying up and not getting a refund.I requested for a refund but hotel.com and buckatree refused to give me back my money and they both kept lying and tossing me around. I will not advise anyone to waste a Penny in booking this place and this hotel does not deserve even a 1 star 😡

This hotel has a lot of potential and is in a lovely setting. My suspicion is the owners are new and haven't the money to invest or are the old owners still trying to sell the hotel without pouring more money in. We got what we paid for (which wasn't very much) but a bed and a clean bathroom. Breakfast was additional and we didn't partake. This hotel could be lovely and I hope someone can give it the love it deserves but don't go hear expecting any luxuries.

Overal ok room. We were only sleeping for one night. Got there late & left early. Area outside needs a gardener. But for my needs it was ok. In middle of nowhere & could do with an update. Could see light through the frame of my room door Ok if you have pets & if like walking in woods its good.

Adequate for one night

Hotel was adequate for what we paid. for their cheapest room. A bit old and tired but bed comfy, sheets and towels clean tea coffee milk snd mugs. Only continental breakfat and no other meals. Seemed very few staff and lift is still not working.

Cheap budget hotel that needs attention.

The hotel beeda attention. The room had broken lights and missing wall light. Loose tap on the sink and dirty towel. The grounds although could be lovely, it hadnt been looked after. Grass was overgrown and the lake was near empty with brokwn fence - not as pretty as previous visit. Staff gave no information bar looked closed and the restaurant wasnt in use.

OK for an overnight stay

Staff friendly enough, clean. Room was fine, except the handle on the shower riser rail was bust. Smallest bottle of shower gel I've ever seen. No socket by bed which is annoying these days with phones, laptops etc. Fan in bathroom didn't work. "Continental" breakfast is pretty thin and doesn't start until 8 at weekends. Unripe bananas. Cheap fruit juice. Croissants pre-packed not fresh.Cereal a small selection of the little multipack boxes. etc I wonder how long the lift has been broken for? It was out of order when I stayed a couple of weeks ago. It was functional enough as an overnight stay en route.

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS

As soon as I pulled up there was empty beer cans and bottles in their car park. Walking down to reception there was dirty boxer shorts on the floor. We checked in, went to the room, it’s was disgusting, smelt of stale cigarette smoke (we’re non smokers) the room was dirty and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. I drew an ‘x’ on the dirt on top of the bin. I went back down to reception to complain, there was already someone in front of me complaining too. The guy behind the desk knew the room was bad, he tried to give me another room which we didn’t want. The guy said I’d get my money back through hotels.com so I left. The next day, they denied the refund and kept my money. Hotels.com are just as bad for not issuing my refund. They are both as bad as each other. Also the pictures online are nothing like the actual hotel. I’d strongly urge anyone to avoid this place!

Booked last minute. I was expecting the breakfast was included but I was told not included when I checked in. I have showed the receptionist that I booked with breakfast but nothing confirmed in my email. I still have the screenshot but wasn’t something they offered me. Was very disappointed.

You sent me an email saying the kitchen was shut and only continental breakfast was available so I nearly cancelled and ate somewhere else before I got to the hotel. The kitchen was open and I could have eaten there. Really disrupting to my plans.

Great stay

Tucked away and an absolute gem. Enjoyed our stay, even a fire alarm didn’t deter from the quality! Little bit older world style that may not suit everyone, but the service was excellent and the surroundings were even better.
