This hotel has a lot of improving to do. I am a hotelier by trade and a all inclusive frecuent traveler. I have never been asked to pay for an early check in. We arrived at 12:30pm. I made a fuss but paid the $10.00 per person. The FD agent gave us our wristbands, but our room was not ready until almost 3pm. We arrived on Saturday, the buffet food was fine, for lunch and dinner. Some of the left leftovers wefe put out for dinner as well. Drinks by the pool are horrible, and the staff is not the friendliest. The room was clean and ver spacious. Check out is at 12, you can stay until 2. But is such a limited hotel you really do not want to stay after 12. Will I be back, no. Will i recommend. NO. There are so many hotels that offer so much more for the same price or less .

Hotel needs supervision,quality control

Our stay was below average.We stayed 5 nights and the bed linen were never changed.When we checked in we found the room uncleaned from the guests that preceeded us.We believed that the beds were only made but was never changed.There was hair all over.We complained so they sent a maid to sweep and mop the room.We have stayed in several all inclusives in the Dominican Republic and have allways tipped the workers who served us well.This trip thrre was nobody to tip service was equally poor in every area.We did'nt see any one superviseing,no one making shere quality was maintained.Seemed to us as though all the workers were amatuers and they did'nt care.I have never met more incomtipent front desk staff. Hotel seems to run itself,and it is running down into the ground.

Unlike other inclusive resorts this one closes the bar at 11pn during the he week, and with no market nearby that pretty much kills your night. Definitely don't think of buying any from the hotel store, they wanted $4 for a tiny can of beer, which in comparison could have bought the largest bottle (Jumbo) available of the same beer at a Colmado for less Also this resort sells day passes to the locals, which means your peaceful resort turns into a loud obnoxious pool party taking away from the vacation you paid for, and also causing service to falter due to the increase of people. Lastly the food. One good point was that at each meal there way always at least one dish that had incredible flavor. However the midnight snack buffet was lack luster, food was typically already cold as soon as it opened and not much by way of offerings, typically hamburger and hotdogs, no dessert and no sides like salad or pasta. Speaking of food .... No ranch dressing??? Asked repeatedly and they just don't offer it, unheard of at any resort I've ever gone to in this country. But if you like Italian dressing, oil and vinegar then your all set, however me no.

Great stay

Hodelpa is a nice place with great staff. All inclusive is not at the level of others, but you are not paying a huge All Inclucive fee either. It is not all day eat and drink. The price reflects this. It is very adequate for anybody not wanting to worry about eat and drinks. We were in a group of about 25 people and everyone was satisfied with what you get for the price paid. As I stated earlier the staff is great. Hodelpa is an old Embassy Suites. So if you have ever been to one of those you should understand both the building and room layout. I won't say it is a negative, but they do have music and some kind of entertainment that goes until about 11pm each night. Depending on where your room is and if you want to go to sleep before that time, you may be bothered. We just accepted it and figured it is the Dominican way. They like to have a good time. The Hotel is set within a private residental community. It is quiet and safe. Once again the staff were GREAT.

Uno la habitación tenía el baño que cuando te bañabas se llenaba el piso de agua, las cortinas sucias y el piso lleno de polvos para mi no es bueno porque soy asmática , pedí unos ganchos a la resección y nunca me lo llevaron , te sentabas en el restaurant y si no llamabas al mesero no iba , fuimos a la piscina y duramos diez minutos esperando que uno de los 6 meseros que había nos preguntara si queríamos algo y nunca nadie se acercó en general solo una mesera llamada MARIA fue Cortez y atenta no tuvimos que llamarla y no solo a nosotros a todo el que estaba le dió buena hospitalidad
