Timezone: Europe/Athens This hotel is located near the Santorini nightlife in Fira, situated only about 400 m from the town centre. Guests will reach the Kamari beach in about 9 km. The city hotel was constructed, designed, and furnished in traditional Cycladic style. It comprises a total of 17 rooms and features a hotel safe, a bar, and a TV lounge. A car park is also available for those guests arriving by car. The rooms all come equipped with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer and a balcony offering views over the sea or the town. In addition, a direct dial telephone, a radio, and a small fridge are also provided in all accommodation units as standard. The air conditioning is individually adjustable. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, hôtel très propre, climatisé, accueil parfait, le gérant est aux petits soins, très disponible et parle plusieurs langues. Léger bémol : un peu loin de la gare routière pour faire le trajet à pied avec une grosse valise. Sinon, aucun souci.

This was a simple hotel within a walking distance (about 15 minutes) to the center of Fira. The owner was great and showed a lot of hospitality. He provided us with maps and transportation schedule. The room was not updated but was normal size. The bathroom was large. The only downside was breakfast which was very plain (boiled eggs, toast, yougurt).

King Thiras Hotel is located just past the main shopping strip of Fira and about a 15 minute walk from the bus station. It's very close to everything but tucked away in a quiet corner. The rooms are modest but more than enough if you're out and about all day. The owners are very helpful! I received a lot of great tips.

Besser nicht buchen, man landet evt. in einem anderen Hotel

Als ich am späten Abend im Hotel ankam war kein Zimmer mehr frei. Dies obschon ich eine Bestätigung hatte und vor mehr als 5 Monate gebuchte habe. Der Besitzer hat mir ein Zimmer im Hotel Asimina (gehört seinem Bruder) organisiert. Gemäss meinen Recherchen im Internet ist dies beim King Thiras Hotel schon mal vorgekommen. Da ich nicht im Hotel King Thira untergebracht wurde kann ich das Hotel nicht bewerten aber die ganze Aktion finde ich sehr bedenklich. Ich kann daher nur davon abraten das King Thira zu buchen.
