My wife and I ( both in our 70's) stayed there for four nights, and it was a wonderful experience.
This is a fabulous hotel. Located on a canal, it is far away from the central part of the historic district to avoid noise and crowds, but still in easy walking distance.
The staff immediately respond to every request, and also are very helpful with restaurant suggestions. When I had trouble with the thermostat, one left the desk immediately, and came upstairs and fixed the problem.
I did not not elect to get the full breakfast, but did find some excellent bakeries nearby for a lighter breakfast.
