My wife stayed here due to a flight cancellation. Her experience was horrific to say the least and the filthy living conditions made her so uneasy that she left after only about 5 hours. Stains and cigarette burns everywhere; dirt and uncleaned liquids on the walls, floors, and curtains; damage to the fridge, some fixtures, and in the bathroom; filthy shower; and the bathroom sink was previously destroyed, but was patched with sealant instead of being replaced. At check out time, she waited along with several other guests at the front desk for roughly 30 mins for any staff member to appear. She yelled out for someone and walked around the common areas, but couldn't find a single staff member. No front desk associate, custodians, maintenance, security staff present for at least 30 minutes. While she was waiting, I had to call Motel 6 corporate line, who just instructed us to leave the room card and leave. What if there was an emergency onsite? Your hotel is seriously comfortable leaving the entire business unsupervised like this? Nice safety hazard and lawsuit waiting to happen. Oh and they also automatically charged us shortly after booking, despite my selection of "paying onsite" during booking. Motel/Studio 6, you should really be ashamed of the horrific conditions of your rooms and the nonexistent staff. Your guests don't expect a 5-star experience, but at least clean your rooms, do simple repairs, and have at least one person watching the front door for danger.
