bad experience in the hotel as they double charge

I am so disappointed that I booked through hotels.com and have prepaid the accommodation fees. But the hotel has twice charged me the accommodation fees on my credit card for second time and did not solve the problem. They even provide me a billing details with the charge of credit card. I am confused. I do not believe this hotel and hotels.com. As they did not make me feel comfortable.Bad experience.

My stay was terrible. I chose this location based on positive reviews, but when we arrived, the entire hotel had an obnoxious odor. When we got to our room, there was no fan in the bathroom, and I could hear and smell the guests in the next room relieving themselves, as it seemed the vents were connected. There were dead flies all over the room as well. The thermostat was not connected to anything, as the temperature in the room stayed the same for our entire stay. The first night we stayed, we were woken up to a fire alarm at around 1:30-2 am, which then disrupted our entire next day of activities, and no explanation was offered. After the second night we stayed, we were getting ready to leave, and we noticed that the toilet was clogged from normal use, and I could hear the tank running consistently. We called down to the front desk to get it fixed, and they said they'd send someone from maintenance. We waited for 20 minutes, and no one ever came, so we went down and talked to the front desk as we had reservations and were already running behind. Eventually, the toilet did get fixed, but the room still smelled like a sewer when we returned hours later. When we were leaving at the end of the stay, the maintenance team was using the guest elevator as a freight elevator, so we were again put behind schedule because we had to wait for them to unload mattresses and bedframes. The property pictures on Expedia aren't the same as the actual property. We had several issues during our 14 night stay. The sofa was torn from the corner, upon informing the hotel staff nothing was done to compensate. The room was also missing frying pans and pots, something you expect ina hotel with a kitchen. Upon informing the staff, the pots and pans were provided. The cooker didn't work for part of the stay, it was also fixed the next day after informing the staff. All in all, too many things went wrong but most of all the pictures of the room weren't the same as the actual room. Please note that the one bedroom suites are very dated and dimly lit. On a positive note, the location is great, safe with lots of restaurants around, the attitude of the staff was pleasing, the breakfast is really good with eggs sausages, mixed fruits and various breads.
