This hotel accepts coach parties so our check in was slow due to having to wait for a coach party to sort their rooms out. We had a room in the house separate from the main hotel. It was on the ground floor looking out onto the very busy main road. Privacy and road noise were an issue as well as noise from the the front door being shut by other guests. The room was well appointed and very clean. The bathroom had a frosted glass door which had a gap around it. Again it was a privacy issue and if you went to the bathroom in the night you lit up the bedroom! Also the extractor in the bathroom didn't work. Breakfast was poorly organised with many tables having used cutlery and crockery left on them, service was slow. The breakfast itself was excellent. Well cooked with quality ingredients. It is well located for public transport into the city centre. Overall for the price charged I would have expected better.

The Murrayfield Hotel is very comfortable and though having a good restaurant on premises, it is also relatively close to other dining options by car or bus. Parking is available and plentiful too. While not an issue for us, there is no elevator/lift, so you must schlep your bags up at least 1 long flight of stairs.

Beautifully maintained and great staff

Murrayfield staff are fantastic and the hotel room was very clean.The bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. It is close to the tram that got us back to the hotel at midnight when no ubers were available and the military tatoo at the castle was over

Habitaciones muy pequeñas y sin ascensor

El hotel está situado a las afueras de Edimburgo, no pudiendo ir al centro caminando. No consta de ascensor por lo que el acceso a las habitaciones con las maletas se hace complicado. Por otro lado, la habitación es tan pequeña que dos personas con maletas grandes tienen dificultades para organizarse

Nice stay

Pleasant stay. Clean fresh and nice people. Only bits that let it down the thermostat on the shower only seemed to run hot. Also no kettle on the room.

Nice stay in Edinburgh

Bra och trevligt hotell med bra kommunikationer nära tillhands. Trevlig personal. Bra frukost och bar. Restaurangen provades inte. Minus var att fönsterdörren i rummet var trasig och inte gick att stänga. Kändes inte helt bra att det stod olåst när vi inte var där och att det drog in kalluft på natten.

Room was very small and hot on arrival but turns out their was mix up on the booking confirmation system between Expedia and the hotel. My confirmation showed one room type and the hotels showed differently. Hotel team were friendly and accommodating and resolved situation professionally.

This hotel was very nice, clean, and comfortable! My room was on the third floor and while there is no elevator staff offered to carry any and all bags I had to my room. The large windows were great and I enjoyed the views. This hotel was close to a bus stop that could take me into downtown Edinburgh with ease! The food (and service) they had for breakfast was wonderful!
