Paid for breakfast they don’t have!
First of all I booked and was given the option for breakfast, which I paid extra for. We got delayed during travel due to border crossing and a snowstorm. We arrived at the hotel around 9pm and tried to check in. Turns out the room we booked and paid in advance for (two queen beds) had been given to someone else. So they offered us two joining rooms, one free of charge. We got to our rooms to find out that not only were they not joining rooms, they weren’t even in the same hallway! We went back to the main desk and were given adjoining rooms on the second floor. The heat had been turned off and the rooms were freezing! We immediately turned up the heat and started to settle in. The place was dirty. One bathroom had a bar of soap on the floor and a used razor in the shower. The other had make up on the walls . The tv in one room didn’t work. When we called the front desk the guy came up and basically said he didn’t know how to fix it and left. During the night, the heat didn’t actually turn off in either room after reaching temperature. I woke up and it was 84 degrees in my room, I was sweating and even after turning the heat completely off, it took forever to cool down again to a comfortable temp. The thermostat? A gaping hole in the wall with exposed wiring. I don’t get any sleep! I found old dried blood in my sheets AFTER I slept in them and despite a lovely looking breakfast room and the option to have breakfast on the site, they haven’t served breakfast since the reno?
