Absolutely love it!!
This was our first visit to this hotel. The staff are excellent and so professional! Our room was ready when we arrived so we were allowed to check in early. The room was quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Our dog got lots of love from staff and fellow visitors. We felt like the staff really cared about us and we highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice place
Very nice place, clean and spacious. The only downside was we needed to do laundry and when we went down to do that, found out that it only takes quarters and we needed change and the hotel wouldn’t give us change. 3 loads was $18, who has $18 in quarters in their purse? So how are you supposed to do laundry? They need a change machine or get a CC reader on the machines. Other than that we had a nice stay.

This Embassy suite is very new, so it is up to date. Very nice lounge/bar area, close to the bridge and harbor. I was able to have breakfast and dinner here, both were very good no complaints. The rooms are very well kept and updated, tv is large, the bed was comfortable. They do have a parking deck that is nice because its covered parking but you do have to pay per night to park.

The rooms were clean and smelled great, the air conditioning worked well, the common areas were gorgeous and had plenty of space. The property is in great condition and isn’t showing signs of wear and tear. Breakfast was delicious and had tons of options. It was weird to pay for parking in this location and the key cards didn’t always work. We saw an alligator/ crocodile thing near a pond close by the dog area. My favorite hotel during my family’s 2 week vacation.

Constant issues with the key cards was frustrating. Hard to communicate with some of the housekeeping due to not speaking english. Luckily my 3 years of high school spanish from 25 years ago helped me to somewhat communicate. Otherwise a beautiful stay despite the one 7 am false fire alarm evacuation.

Parking fee of $30/day didn’t make sense given where the property is located - not downtown, not in a well developed business park. This will be a deterrent when contemplating future reservations for travel to Charleston.

Hotel room was clean and nice however when we arrived, we were given a different room than what we booked. We were told the room we had booked was taken. The room we were given was also booked to 2 others during our stay. We had people knocking on our door at 1:30am to check into our room one night. Hotel front desk staff did not have good customer service and it took almost a month to receive my deposit for incidentals because they forgot to refund me. Would not stay here again.

Anniversary weekend
I will start with the positives because I think that is appropriate. The hotel was beautiful with a striking lobby. All of the front desk staff and the breakfast staff were extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast was also very well done. What I was disappointed in was the hidden fees and the room. When I booked i was told there would be a $4 fee from the hotel. Instead, I was charged $30 per night to park! When I spent the kind of money that I did, I don't think I should be surprised with a huge fee like that when I arrive. Secondly, they refused to let me pay with cash which makes no sense. The biggest disappointment was that I paid a lot of money for what was described as a King Suite overlooking the harbor. What I actually got was a slightly larger room with a couch and chair and nothing fancy. The harbor view was a small opening between buildings. Most of our view was of the side of buildings. Every other expensive suite that I have booked has had a separate bedroom, a mini kitchenette and a very nice bathroom. I just did not get what I paid for!

This is very nice hotel! New, clean, friendly staff, great location! Parking is $30 a night though which is crazy and the hotel key never opened the parking garage gate like it’s supposed to. Pool is in the shade most of the day because of the building design. But those are little things. Overall we were satisfied and would return.
