Just the best. Would definitely stay here again. Great location, great view, great staff, great breakfast!..couldnt have been better. One tip: if you arrive at the train station with a roller bag, dont take the stairs. Take a right on the road out of the train station and head up the hill on the road. The stairs are a lot if you are carrying a bag.

I am not being dramatic when I say this is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed! Everything was magical. Pick the Portofino suite if you can, the balcony is honestly unbelievable. Location, rooms, atmosphere all amazinggg.

It was the most wonderful experience- we didn’t expect amazing villa with vaulted ceilings and frescoes! Amazing staff! Very helpful and generous, well equipped villa with all amenities and wonderful breakfast served on antique dishes! The view is incredible! Truly the highlight of our trip! Well hidden gem! I had an incredible stay at this lovely beautifully restored Villa. Great location with an easy walk to the seaside promenade, restaurants, shopping and the train station. From the train station you can catch the bus to Portofino. The hosts are gracious, warm and friendly. Enjoy a lovely breakfast on the Villa’s patio overlooking the sea and harbor.

Bästa stället!
Fantastiskt boende som utmärker sig på alla bra sätt. Villan är otroligt genuin och charmig. Underbar frukost på altanen. Nära tågstation och gångavstånd till stan. En del trappor. Personalen var fantastisk. Fina gemensamma utrymmen och stor trädgård. Vi kommer definitivt tillbaka!

Amazing!
We loved our stay at Villa Gelsomino. From the gorgeous room and bathroom to the shared sea-view balcony, our 3-night stay felt like we were at a friend's home. The staff are phenomenal and helpful in every manner. A wonderful experience, and we will be going back!

Villa Gelsomino and the staff were great. If you’re driving the road is a bit narrow for the last bit, but then again that’s Italy. The staff was great and location up the hill from the train station was excellent. The town had a lot of places to explore and the walk to Portofino was a great one. It will take you about 45 minutes by train to get to Cinque Terre but that may be a good thing as the towns were pretty full and it wasn’t yet peak season. We would recommend this location with no reservations.

Beautiful, romantic stay
We loved our stay at Villa Gelsomino! The property was absolutely gorgeous from the floor tiles to the ceilings. The location was very convenient and a quick walk to the city center. Views were breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious and it was nice to have fresh, made to order food versus the typical breakfast buffet at most other hotels. All staff members were so nice and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. Highly recommend!

Die Unterkunft ist am Design nicht zu übertreffen und die Bequemlichkeit ist super. Es liegt an einem guten Ort und nicht weit von portofino entfernt. Das Frühstück ist super und alles selber gemacht, sowie das Personal das sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit ist. Immer wieder gerne.

The villa is beautiful. The noise is terrible. Trains passed all nigth long. Airconditioning was off because it was October, despite it was more than 25 degrees outside and like 28 in the room. Unbearable.

This is a beautiful small hotel, in a classic italian house that has been preserved at every detail. It has a wonderful view and also a beautiful garden. The best breakfast!!! The room we stayed was big and had a big and renovated bathroom. Conveniently located, close to train station, Portofino and only a few train stops to Cinque Terre. The BEST: the service and attention, Barbara & Georgia really made us feel welcomed and helped us with everything we asked and needed. Hope we can comeback soon!

Beautiful property and rooms. Breakfast was wonderful and staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is in a central location but it’s a steep walk up a lot of stairs to get from the street up to the property. There is a train station at the bottom of the hill. You take your life in your hands if you want to drive the narrow little streets. Taxis can take you anywhere but it’s 40 euros to get into Portofino. Overall, this place was wonderful and we would definitely stay again.
