Never Again

Our room, 200, was not clean. Bathroom ok but all floors were sticky. At front of beds, huge area of stickiness. I put a towel over the worst so didn’t have to walk on it or in it Breakfast barely ok. Seems front desk was also the attendant. Console between beds not wiped off. Either change carpet or clean it. Wash duvets for spots. Had to pay $100.00 deposit. Thought this practice had gone away. If noise bothers you, this is also not your spot.

Hotel Room from Hell!

Our stay at the quality Inn in Brooks Kentucky was horrible. The moment we walked into the hotel there was an odor that was overwhelming. It stunk. The carpet was so nasty. We were afraid to walk on it. We kept our shoes on the entire time while in the room. It was room number 126. There was chewing gum several pieces stuck to the tile in the hall and it had been there sometime because it was black. The towels were horrible so thin you really needed two to dry off after your shower. There was a black stain in the bottom of the commode. It looked like someone had left a bowel movement in the bottom of the commode. The toilet itself was for a child. The make of the toilet was stamped behind the lid. It stated Gerber. There was a brown smear on the air conditioning that we asked to be removed and she told us that housekeeping would come clean it up. That was only a few minutes after we had checked in. The stain was never removed. Light fixtures did not working. There was 2 that didn’t work. The valance at the top of the curtain was about to fall off. It was detached from the wall. There was a young lady at the front desk on the morning we checked out. I asked her where the jam/jelly was, and she spoke such a thick accent. I couldn’t understand her, and she started pointing and screaming to the kitchen area. I told her there was not any jelly/jam on the counter. She jumped up, came over to the kitchen area to thinking she was gonna show me where the jelly/jam waslocated.

Dirty, stains and smelly. It wasn’t good.

When we got there, the elevator was out of service and of course we were on the third floor. Even that aside, when we got to the hallway, it smelled like bad chicken. Then the room. The room looked a bit dingy, but as long as a hotel is clean, I’m usually ok. Well, the sheets had stains everywhere. When I opened the door to the fridge, there was some sort of sauce dried into the wood where the fridge was. We made the decision to leave. When leaving through the stairwell, we saw cigarette butts pushed into the metal on the railing. I will give the front desk staff credit. They were apologetic. Offered to refund me and took the pictures I took to show housekeeping. It was disappointing. We ended up going to the Best Western on Brenton which was much better.

Elevator broken

We walk in after 12 hours of driving, exhausted only to find that that the 3 story hotel's elevator was broken. The only rooms left available were on the 3 rd floor. So my 70 year old handicapped wife and I had to climb 3 stories with our luggage. The front desk guy saw us struggling with the stairs and did come to help my wife with her bags. When we got to the "limited" breakfast in the morning we noticed quite a few young military men coming to breakfast. I hope these younger men were on the top floor and not the first floor. If the elevator is out of operation...put the 25 year old on the top floor and the senior citizens on the first floor. Overall, lobby is nice, breakfast is limited and the overall condition is average at best.

Clean and affordable

We needed a quick stop right off the highway to r sleep a few hours on our way home. This spot was clean and affordable. Late night Front desk staff was welcoming and quick.

So many things not as description lists.

Elevator does not work and they have no food license for hot breakfast.They placed us on the 3rd floor we had an elderly couple staying with us and no elevator. These things would have been fine if they were noted in the description which they were not. Also would have been nice to have been emailed with the changes so that we were able to cancel. Instead they told us at check in and then offered to cancel our room for us. but it being spring break weekend there were very few rooms available anywhere. Also the restroom of the lobby was out of order.

Very friendly staff, but seemed understaffed

The staff was very friendly, but they seemed under staffed. Our toilet had major issues and there was not a maintenance person there at the time. We had to plunge it ourselves. We were worried that it would overflow, so we made sure that none of our bags were left on the floor when we left the room. The interior was updated and looked nice, but baseboards needed to be cleaned. Again, staff was very nice, but needed more people to properly upkeep the property.

Nice and convenient

The place was very nice and I would stay there again. The only complaint I would have would be the breakfast. It wasn’t much of anything and they put out packages of instant oatmeal, but there was no hot water to make it. There wasn’t really much of a breakfast, but I slept well. It was a short day for us, but the bed was very comfortable. They must’ve been fully booked because it was almost impossible to find any parking. We did manage to find a spot in the back though and even there there weren’t many spots left.
