Weekend getaway

My wife and I really enjoyed our weekend stay here. The room we had was very comfortable. Service was great. Beautiful and quiet area with pretty good restaurants as well. We would definitely go back in the future.

A good stay and great location!

Great location, delicious breakfast. The room was comfortable and well appointed, but the heating and cooling was tough to balance and the rug showing its wear. We had a good stay overall.

Great place

Weekend trip to Newport, stayed at The Mill Street Inn. It was a nice stay, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was super friendly. The only "downsides", would be that the bathrooms are small, and parking is super tight, small cars only, but, I would stay again for sure.

Lovely, central location, and loads of charm

We absolutely adored our two night stay at Mill Street Inn. The folks here are clearly thoughtful about the little touches that make a hotel stay welcoming: there were welcome drinks, board games, and books in the lobby, they check you in with a little bag of snacks, and the rooms themselves are spacious and beautifully appointed with Nespresso machines and coffee table books. Our trip got off to a rough start (because of a factor totally outside of the hotel's control), but people here -special shout-out to Jamie! - were so sweet and helped us have a lovely time nevertheless. I will recommend this place to everyone planning to visit Newport.

Fantastic Inn

Beautiful, extremely clean inn with wonderful service and a lot of little extra conveniences in the room and lobby. The continental breakfast was dropped at the door and the quality of the pastry, fruit and yogurt were exceptional. I highly recommend a stay here!

Fantastic place to stay

We have stayed at this hotel many times. The manager and staff are top notch. The rooms/common areas are clean. The furniture, rugs and bathrooms could use some updating. All of the rooms have sitting areas. Our favorite part is having coffee/light breakfast delivered to our door in the morning! The hotel is walking distance to the waterfront stores and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the property is convenient and walkable to food shopping and attractions. Barry greeted us well and was very professional, efficient, and friendly. He made our first stay here very pleasant. I would definitely stay at this property again.

If you want to hang out along the waterfront and Thames Street in Newport, this is a good spot. Easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. The staff was wonderful. Parking is available, which is a big plus for this area, even off-season. Our room was a bit small, especially the bathroom, but because of the high ceilings, the room felt bright and airy. This building is a National Historic Landmark, so you won't find an elevator. If that's an issue be sure to request a ground floor.
