Its was nice for the price i paid me and the kids slept well. It was more than 10 mins away from everything we wanted to do but that meant it was quieter no breakfast and the pool was outdoors.staff was friendly

An Excellent Stop for Us

We often stay at a “budget” hotel and in that sphere, we were very pleased with this stay. In our sequence of priorities, this was an excellent hotel. Clean and comfortable beds, new refrigerator, new microwave, with excellent and congenial staff service and responsiveness.

It is in a very shady area, our room was dirty from the get go, someone had left stuff in our room,so they didnt clean it. We saw a roach come out of nowhere, they gave us a new room,no discount no empathy, very scary situation traveling with kids

If you want a cheap night stay, this is the place. If you expect service such as bed made in the morning, clean sufficient supply of towels, working TV, this is not the place. I chose this OYO Hotel based on name/brand. This does not meet OYO standards. Was previously called American Inn, which was a small mom & pop place. Still run as a mom & pop place. The photos of hotel shown on Travelocity are deceptive.

Reserved a room for 3 nights Told check in clerk I might only need for one night. Was told not a problem, pay the three nights and if I only needed one notify Hotels,com and I would be refunded. In all honesty, I would rate this property a 4.5 instead of a 5, but since that's not an option, and I think too many people are unfairly dinging this property, I'll go with 5 stars. My son and I stayed here for 4 days, and the staff were fantastic, and friendly! The property itself, while appearing rundown on the outside, was well kept and comfortable on the inside, and we both were pleased to call it our "home" during our stay in San Antonio! The area is very conveniently located to go to anywhere in SA, with plenty of places nearby to grab food as well. Sure, the area around the hotel may not be considered the "best" in San Antonio, but my son and I never felt unsafe, and we actually became rather affectionate for the area, and its cozy neighborhood charm. There are no bells and whistles here at this hotel (though they gave us water bottles for free upon out departure on a 100 degree day), and for the price, it's truly a matter of getting what you pay for in that regard. But I do feel you're getting a great place for the price all around, if you're not overly picky about where you stay, and I really enjoyed our stay here! I would definitely stay here again next time we're in the area!

0/10 Most horrible experience. Took forever to check in even though I had a reservation. Changed rooms three times. Dirty towels, dirty showers, dirty sheets, broken doors, bugs and mold. Moved rooms 3 times. Not a safe environment. Man at the front desk asked for my drivers license and didn’t want to give it back and told me to come back the next morning to get it back. Asked for a refund after almost changing rooms for the 4th time I was denied several times. When demanded a refund the man at the front desk eventually “gave me a refund” and printed out my receipt told me I would see it back in my account in 5 days. Still to this day I haven’t received the money back. HORRIBLE

TRAVELOCITY had this option in their bundles. It has a 4.2 on their rating. Upon entering the room it smelled of urine. There were dirty napkins in the window cell that had dead bugs sitting along the window tracks, bed, floor and surrounding area. The sink was broken in multiple with razor sharp edges on the ceramic. Holes all over the walls that were patched with door know bump gaurds. The actual door lock looked to be already kicked in. Complete crack house. My wife and family were there for 10 minutes then packed up and left. After finding a safe place to stay I looked at google reviews where I read people finding crack pipes, cockroachs, rats in the walls ect, ect. I think it had less than 2 stars.
