Excellent location. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Good amenities. Only real cons were quite a bit of noise could be heard from other rooms, and there were some unsavoury characters sitting outside the hotel entrance and making comments when we came at night, which I appreciate is not the fault of the hotel

Great location for food, shopping, and transportation. One of the two elevators didn't work (and hadn't for months)! Clean, and every thing else worked. Staff was wonderful at storing our bags before and after our stay for free. Price is right. We would stay there again. ThinkTank and Birmingham Museum were much better than I had expected. ThinkTank has the best collection of machines I have ever seen--4 huge floors!

Hotel needs a complete refurbishment, carpets are grimy, bathroom flooded from shower and when we took out the plug it was awful brown think gunge! Bedding wasn’t that clean, more like an unkept hostel! We paid £112 pound for 1 night! Lift is so slow it take 15 mins to get to your room, difficult to find room as signs make no sense! Staff were ok. WiFi was ok but you access the hotel down an ally way with people doing drugs right outside, as a lone woman it felt very intimidating!

Took 3 visits to the reception just to get a key that worked. This took a good while as I wasn't the only one with this issue. One lift out of order so getting up was a long wait. Bathroom door had been badly damaged. But shower was ok
