150 year old pub so its tired but full of character. I was there for a quick stopover, room was clean, linen excellent and basic need met. Staff and service friendly and helpful. Value for money.

Didn’t like the common showers and toilets. Smoking smell in the toilets. Noisy cars in the streets most of the night and faits in the streets about 2 am that scared the kids. It was cheep and now I know why.

Great budget option for a one nighter, if all you need is a room with a bed this is it. Can’t fault it for the price, have stayed before prob will again. Although A decent pillow would be a great addition. Bar staff at check in very polite, professional and helpful.

The staff at check-in were lovely and the owner seemed to care about my experience. One can see that at some point in the past, this was a grand hotel, but time has taken its toll. There is a restaurant in the hotel that seems quite popular. I understood that I was booking at a lower price point, so my expectations were tempered. My main problem is that the bed wasn't that comfortable and worse, there is a window above the room door that allows the light from the hallway to enter the room, making it very difficult to sleep - it seems such a strange setup. I had a poor sleep because of it.
