The photographs make the rooms look much better than in reality. The rooms are extremely dark and very worn out. We checked into the first room and the bed itself was harder than the floor so asked to be moved. This first room had a window the size of an A4 piece of paper hidden behind a massive, heavy curtain. The floors were so dusty and unvacuumed that every step we took raised the dirt from the carpet into a cloud. The second room didn't even have a window however every surface was dusty. We had to clean the room ourselves and wipe surfaces as well as sweep the carpet. The second room mattress was much softer. The staff were lovely however language was a barrier and often things got lost using Google Translate. The hotel provides condoms amongst other complimentary things so be prepared that this hotel is not necessarily designed for long term stays. The facilities are basic however the other thing to take into consideration is that this is normal in Taiwan and that other hotels may be very similar, or even worse.
