The whole room had a strong smell of disinfectant, the bathroom smelt of sick which did not go and made using the room for longer than 10 seconds unbearable. Sheets smelt like cigarette smoke. The AC unit was very old and sounded like a train was in the room all night. No water provided at all.

The front desk staff (the afternoon shift AND the evening shift were very distant and dismissive when assistance was requested...the MOST dismissive was when my TV remote would not work...they simply said "someone can help you after 8 AM TOMORROW MORNING (no offer to try aa remote from somewhere else in the hotel..(peraps and empty room) The inconvenience was not for entertainment.. but for monitoring SEVERE WEATHER for travel the nextday after checckout....I SHARED this concern with the desk clerk...no comment

My only complaint is that when we tried to check in, after 4 pm (check-in was at 3), our room wasn't ready. After a long travel day with children we had to load everybody back up and find something to do. Instead of the extra time spent waiting in Birmingham, we could have driven longer and made it close enough to our destination to not need a hotel for that evening.

Just an overnight for business. Stay was during bad weather and i am from an area where it gets bad fast. May want to think about a better plan for bad weather than "i can put you in the laundry room if i need to" because telling me several times "mam we dont have tornados" when we were under a tornado watch and i am from tornado alley doesnt sit right.

Our stay over all was ok. Thankfully we just needed a quick one night stay. Had it been a more time we definitely would have been miserable. The room and hotel was clean. But the room had a stale smell to it. The air conditioning system didn’t cool down the room. My son went to wipe the mirror in the bathroom and it sliced his finger wide open. The glass is separated from the frame but you can’t tell unless you get right on it. Or in his case accidentally hit the edge of it. The breakfast we couldn’t eat it. The waffles had a weird taste to them. The staff was very friendly. Quick check in and out. But this will be our one and only stay here.
