The Essex is right on Michigan Ave. we have stayed here prior to this last remodel. The hotel is very comfortable, and has very adequate amenities. We love staying in this area with its closeness to public transportation and walking to a lot of venues. The check in process was seamless. We will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much! All reviews we had read were accurate - the hotel staff was incredibly nice and helpful, and though the rooms were small, they were beautiful and comfortable. The hotel is also right by Grant Park and close to the red line. Thanks for a great stay!
