I was a bit disappointed by the Ramsey. I expected more of a themed family fun experience ( like all of Pigeon Forge) based on the photos and such, but it just felt sad. It's in desperate need of renovation, which has started, and the room was fine, but you couldn't overlook the rest of the hotel.
While I appreciate the earnest attempt at hospitality for the restaurant, the food was terrible, and made my husband sick.
Fortunately the majority of our time was spent at Dollywood, so we didn't have to hang around the hotel. Too many smokers around, tons of trash in the hallway after a family had a pizza dinner, and overall feel of sketchiness. Maybe that's what to expect in hotels outside the park but it wasn't the greatest impression. Good news is there was a ton of parking and it was right off the "strip." The price was reasonable too.
