Medical Stay, shortened.
The hotel was fine.We were there for a Medical Procedure which couldn't be done as planned. So, we checked out a day early. My wife was supposed to have been in the hospital till Thursday or Friday, but they released her Monday afternoon. She rested up till Wednesday and we checked out a day early. We would like a refund for the one day.

Could have been waaaay better
The tv didn’t work in my room. They wanted to simply switch rooms. No problem. Asked for a king rather than a double, but they wouldn’t accommodate me. The price of the room was the exact same so it wasn’t price. I agreed to switch. Teller treats me like I’m going to steal a room and would not give me the key to both so I could make 1 trip back to the old room and place my things in the new room before returning the key to the old room. I had to go back and forth just to move my things. To top it off, on the “final” walk to my room the key did not work. I had to go back to the desk again.

Checkin was at 3. They were not prepared for check in at all. The lady checking me in said I had to wait and to step aside she will call me when my room is ready. 30 minutes goes by and they call me up there to tell me my room was not ready and still had to wait. The GM shows up and says he is checking everyone who is in line. I asked what about the people who were told to stand aside and wait? He said if you did not get check in back of the line.. so I had to wait another 30 minutes in the back of the line because they were unprepared. Honestly the worse experience I had at a check in. Poor communication and really bad management.

Bad service
Rooms were not ready for 3pm, understandable. There was 1 person working front desk. There were dozens of people waiting for their rooms. Said we had at least another 39 min wait. Would not check us in until rooms were ready. Waited in my car because the lobby was packed with peo ple. Came back in about 15 min later and now 3 people are working front desk and checking in others before the people that were already waiting for rooms. The man at the desk was rude and told us we would have to go start over to check in. I paid $279 for a room i cpuldnt use until 4:30pm This concert was 1 year out, they had time to prep. Im sure this wasn't their first big event in Indy! I will not use best western again or go to Indy!

Disappointed
My stay was absolutely horrible. I checked in around 6:00 p.m. October 27th. Check-in was a little slow however I was finally given room 324. Around midnight I hear click click click outside of my door, someone was trying to enter the room. I told the young lady the room was occupied. I called the front desk to remind them the room was occupied. She said okay sorry. But then called back saying she needed my ID. Well I had already checked in with the person on duty before she arrived. She, the hotel clerk called the police, they came to my room got my ID. I told her I will be checking out later this morning because I didn't feel safe. The policeman said you can check out now, she did not intervene so at 1:15 a.m. I left the Best Western. I had stayed there several times before. They refused to refund my money so I will not be returning to that location. The policeman overstepped his boundaries and it's obvious that the hotel do not keep proper records.

The good - The property was well-kept and very clean. The bed was so comfortable! The bad - Breakfast was pitiful. Everything was empty, and worse…no coffee! When my husband asked a worker about the food and breakfast , the person mumbled something and walked away. The ugly - I booked and paid through Expedia. After we checked out, they called me saying that my card was declined and that I owed $159 for the room. I never gave them a credit card at all! I called them back after investigating, told them Expedia said they were paid and my credit card had posted the payment. She didn’t ask for proof at all, just said ok and hung up on me. Strange. Makes me suspicious since she had asked for a credit card during the first call, which I’m so glad I didn’t give her.

Advertised breakfast was only continental breakfast even though they had the hot dishes heaters available and appeared to be on. If you want a hot breakfast, check to see if they are offering it on the days you are staying.
