Everything about the property and beach was what we were looking for. Quite not overpopulated. We walked the rocks and tidal pools for hours. Staff was friendly and attentive. Small bar and restaurant on property was great. We will be returning.

Cocobolo Boutique Hotel was a very pleasant surprise! Beautiful views, in a quiet semi-isloated area on the beach. Very friendly, happy staff, good food and a great funky beach bar. Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. Great vibes. Highly recommend!

You won't regret staying here. This boutique hotel was everything we hoped for! Quiet, beautiful, friendly staff, amazing breakfast that comes with the room. I was blown away. The manager set up some fun activities for us like, zip-lining, horseback riding, and snorkeling. We also spent a lot of time on the beautiful beach just relaxing. Shopping, yoga, bakeries, and restaurants are all just a short drive away. But we enjoyed eating at the hotel with their beautiful tables overlooking the ocean. Book Today!!

We loved the property and the view. Once we realized check in was at the bar restaurant, Rancho Cocobolo that is between the rooms and the beach, we were good. The parking is up a steep drive without signs, but very secluded and private. Was very quiet, except the occasional howler monkey. Staff was courteous and the breakfast was good. Would stay again.

Cocobolo & Isaac are The Best for a Getaway
We absolutely LOVED our entire experiences at Cocobolo. Isaac was a gem. From breakfast to dinner and the emaculate decor, we really had no complaints. Everything was well desgined with great touches and the location is sublime. If you are looking for a truly natural getaway, away from the typcial tourism hustle and bustle, I'd highly recommend this place.

Had the most relaxing and peaceful time at the property. The room was the perfect size for two people and had everything we needed. The view from my room was breathtaking and was so grateful to wake up to it every morning. This property is right on the beach whick made it very convinent to get your beach time. The staff was exceptionaly accommodating and genuinely kind. The breakfast that was included was delecious and made fresh every morning. If you are looking for a place to decompress, relax and get your fill of nature I would highly recommend you consider this property.

Excellent place! Right in front of the beach on a small, quiet town. Best breakfast in CR, wonderful staff, and gorgeous views. Room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommended, we will come again!

A little difficult to get to but had a great experience overall. Our room had a killer view. The beach is very secluded but also a public beach and a fisherman’s area which was kinda cool to experience. The staff was really nice and the food at the restaurant was very good.

The management and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming and made my stay incredibly enjoyable. the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Best of all, the view was absolutely amazing. They have a shared hammock that you can use that provides comfort with stunningly beautiful views and the breakfast every morning, made and served outdoors by Isaac & Joselin, is delicious (lots of fresh fruit)! I didn't spend much time in San Juanillo as I drove to Nosara most days, which is only 16 miles but the trek there is an adventure! I highly recommend staying at this location. It is very safe, somewhat secluded and the staff amazing. You will need to travel a little bit to get to most entertainment options, but that was a great part of the experience.

Beautiful view, terrible service
The room and the view were gorgeous. The location was also really nice for a quiet weekend away as it is not in a super touristy area. However, the WIFI did not work the entire time and when we asked about it we were given a reason that did not make sense and no attempt was made to rectify the issue. As someone who is working remotely this was extremely inconvenient. Over the three nights we were there the room was also never cleaned once, nor were clean towels or sheets provided. The hotel advertises that they have daily housekeeping but this is not the case. I was very disappointed as fresh sheet and towels were very needed by the end of our stay. We were also completely out of toilet paper by the end as there was not much in the room to start. The free breakfast was very good, but when we ordered lunch it took nearly two hours for it to be ready, while waiting we decided to return to our room and asked if they could bring the food there. They would not do so without charging us after making us wait so long for the food. Overall, the property is beautiful, rooms nice and view amazing. The lack of cleaning, slow service and non-working WIFI ruin what could be an absolutely amazing stay though.
