Not for Everyone
This motel, while budget-friendly, may not meet your expectations. I read reviews and was somewhat surprised by what I found. It is rundown, but clean (although there was a mildly unpleasant cat box-like) odor in the room. The bed was comfortable. There are no restaurants or places to shop near-by. There are 2 floors in part of the building and the noise from people walking in the room above is quite loud. There is no microwave in the room but there is a bar fridge. The "light breakfast" is very light - coffee/tea, cereal and muffins - nothing else. The staff is efficient but not especially friendly, except for the cleaning person, who was very nice. I chose this establishment because of proximity to another location. I won't stay there again.

Just stayed for 1 night. Really clean room, spacious and nice bathroom. Tea & coffee machine with a fridge and a hairdryer, lots of clean towels. Easy to use heating / cooling controls. The check in desk staff were really friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stay.
It was good as alway we have stayed here many times over the year's while working in Ottawa. Its quite and you dont hear traffic on the road its set back on a nice property.

Specified at booking that there were 3 adults. Picked a room with a king bed and a pullout sofa. I asked at check-in where I would find bedding for the pullout sofa. Attendant went to get me an undersheet, top sheet and a blanket the size and thickness of a towel. Said that's all he had and no pillows??? Why advertise a pullout sofa if you don't have appropriate linens and enough pillows for it. The bed in the room had 4 pillows so one was used for the pullout sofa. When putting the undersheet on, it was dirty in a spot and when I touched it, the dirt was crunchy and started to flake off. We put it on inside out instead. I had packed some car snacks that needed refrigeration. When I opened the fridge someone had left a Tim Hortons drink, it was still full, had separated. This was obviously not cleaned up from the previous guests. So gross. No idea how long it had been in there. I've stayed here in the past. It's economical and provides a bed. Don't expect anything more. The breakfast is 3 types of cereal. Some yogurt and very OVERRIPE (unedible) bananas and apples. We arrived, went to bed, got up early and left. Just sleep and leave

Great place
Never stayed here before but I will return for another stay. The desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. With the nice weather, we could sit outside on the chairs provided. Little traffic noise in this location. The room was clean and had all we needed. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Support staff arrived in a timely fashion and made up the pull-out bed quickly when it was found we would be using it. There was a continental breakfast- that was adequate.

Comfortable stay
The room was pleasantly decorated, spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable although the duvet/spread needed updating (was flat on one side). The breakfast was very limited and there was no place to sit and eat.. However it was good value and we would stay there again.

A nice place in the Ottawa area!
Check in receptionist wasn't very friendly and at first, couldn't find my reservation. Regardless, the day staff front desk person was wonderful and helpful. Room was clean. No coffee machine though - although the supplies were there and I reported it. Room is lovely and clean. No other issues.

Dont stay here
My room was full of fruit flies. At least 30. And you could see remnants of splattered flies on lampshades and walls from previous guests. The light bulbs in the lamps in my room made loud clicking noises for at least 30 minutes after turning them off at night..i guess they were cooling down? No toilet paper holder, and one half roll of toilet paper left from previous guest. Only positive was that the other guests were quiet and i slept well.

Good price and it was remarkably quiet . Some of the little things were annoying (Rm 36) ---sink plug was permanently down. ---no plug for the bath tub -- but I stuffed a hand towel in and that worked --- clock was the wrong time and wouldn't adjust ---- couldn't figure out how to work the lamp beside the bed --- no garbage pail in the room
