Very Comfy - Great Staff
Staff was very friendly and helpful, location is good - short drive or long walk to a mall area with stores and restaurants. The property did have a small gym. Bedding and pillows were very comfortable - some of the most comfortable I've experienced even in high end hotels. We paid $10 for a breakfast voucher. Breakfast offerings are some breakfast sandwiches, a cup of oatmeal, coffee, cold beverages etc. There was ample space in the lobby for small groups to gather. The only negative is that there are doors on both sides of the lobby, so when they opened it was quite chilly in the lobby area. Our room has a landscape light on a bollard that was window height, so it made it difficult to block out the light at night (even with the shade). It most likely would not effect other rooms though. The negative about Aloft properties is the large barn door/sliding door on the bathrooms. Even a minor misalignment cause a decent size gap that can't be closed - which means the door does not offer much privacy when it comes to noise / visibility in the bathroom. It's been that way at every Aloft property I've stayed at. I would definitely recommend this property based on the fantastic staff and the comfy beds.

Super comfy beds and pillows!
Everyone at the front desk was wonderful during our stay - very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the common area was clean and always had water with lemons available. The beds and pillows were some of the most comfortable we've had! The only negative (and it is brand-wide as we've stayed at Aloft properties in other cities) is the large sliding bathroom door. If there is any misalignment at all it causes a gap in the door and the way it is laid out does not provide much sound barrier/privacy with the gap in the bathroom door. Makes it difficult if someone is trying to sleep while someone else is showering, etc. I would request a room on an upper floor next time because the landscape/walkway lighting was shining in our room window all night (couldn't block it all the way out with the shade). Hotel is near restaurants and stores (very short drive or long walk). Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend.

Very cold stay
Heat in our room (239) would not work. The a/c kept coming on, even when we just turned it on the "off" position. Was freezing all night. Next morning (day of check out), housekeeping opened the room door around 9am while we were still in bed. Entrance of hotel was so cold that the front desk employees had to wear coats while working.

Not so relaxing staycation
There was no receptionist when we arrived so after a 25 minute wait to check in, our room had no heat! Then we were moved to another room where there was no shower gel so we had to jump out of the shower to grab hand soap. The next day we asked for roomkeeping and were told they only tend rooms every other day. So no soap, clean towels and the best part was begging for these things in a hotel you expected more from. Not going back for the early knock on the door an hour before check out either.

It was clean and fine.
Room was clean and bed comfortable. Strange room layout and nowhere near the sink to hang a hand towel. Since they didn’t offer housekeeping and you need to reuse the towels, there should be a better way to hang them. Ironing board is mini - in both length and height and the cover was useless.

Had a good time at the ALoft in Bolingbrook. Very helpful staff, and allowed me early check in due to my disability. They even said they waved my early check in fee, but I did pay more vs what I had when I made the reservations. It’s ok tho. Nice hotel.

Music rattles room until 2am-no help from manager
I always choose to stay at Aloft while traveling. This is my first stay that was poor. My husband and I stayed for two nights. We were in room 334 in Bolingbrook Il. Beginning at about 10 pm each night our room was booming from the music (bass) in the hotel bar. A constant thump that lasted until 2 am each night. I called down to the front desk and informed them that our room was rattling from the music. I was told “it gets a little noisy down here!” The next morning when we checked out I asked to speak to a manager. Larry was the manager on duty. I explained the noise situation and was told “it gets lively in the bar.” I’m fine with lively but at least offer us earplugs or when I called the front desk initially, offer to change our room. Larry told me he would look into the issue and respond to my email, which he confirmed, within the hour. That was Sunday at 10:00 am and it’s now Wednesday night. I received no response from Larry the night manager. I will reconsider staying with Aloft in the future. I’m disappointed that our hotel of choice had such poor customer service when we had an issue.
