This is a review about this hotel's cancellation policy and their complete unwillingness to refund for a portion of multi day reservation what is supposed to be a customer's right. Please note, I am a member of IHG and hotels.com for over 15 years, and Holiday Inns have been a preferred choice of stay, I never cancel reservations but as there is always a first time, it happened last week. My group of guests incurred some travel issues on Canada-US border and we could not continue on our trip to Boston. I understood immediately that my first night of reservation is non-applicable for a refund, but as our reservation was a two-nights stay, I requested for a refund for a second night, on which I got a resolute no as an answer, without further explanation, even after multiple requests. I am not yet sure of my next steps in this, but I wanted to inform future customers about this and in hope someone from upper IHG management would see this and a treatment for a long term IHG and hotels.com customer. I travel and stay a lot in hotels while travelling, and I will seriously consider my future reservations with IHG group.
