Having already dune the "cave hotel" thing, we stayed here two nights on a couple get-away weekend, with our puppy. (We rolled up the lovely carpet, just in case, leaving only the wood-look tile floor.) The king bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and charming. We enjoyed staying in Uçhisar. This inn is on the "back side" of the castle, so you give up the amazing views overlooking Göreme, but it has a nice indoor-outdoor terrace overlooking a more residential, quiet area, and some lovely local-scene art throughout. The castle is an easy walk. The hosts were very friendly, and breakfast was basic Turkish style, served personally and satisfying. We love Cappadocia, and this inn is a great choice for those wanting to spend most of their time--& money-- enjoying the amazing area outside their lodging and don't need the "cave hotel" experience.
