The staff was very friendly and took care of all of our needs. Location is great, the town is conveniently located to explore the mountains, the coast, and the castles. There are many dining and shopping options within walking distance and it's not too busy.

Great location! Good food options even at the hotel restaurant.
Some noise from the traffic on the main road, but not much.

The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable and was a king size instead of a double. The staff were so friendly and amenable, the only downside was if you want a lie in and you’ve ordered breakfast you won’t get one as breakfast is served between 7.30am till 8.30am also towels not big enough for a shower or bath

Well located, the hotel is a little old, specially the room and some upkeep would be great, nevertheless the staff was amazing and more than compensated the hotel itself

A little Welsh Gem
Clean room with ensuite facilities. Friendly staff at hotel. Good choice for breakfast (full Welsh+options). Excelent meals otherwise - good potions of all meals taken which were piping hot and freshly made - impressed! A bit out of the way but worth the effort.

Food was great! Loved the lamb curry
Excellent stay in snowdonia. Friendly staff and a pleasant place to stay. The place has aged and the footboards squeaked. But all good

Lovely menu - particularly loved the Goat curry and my son wolfed down the ribs. Friendly staff. Only gripe would be that the showers were mounted way too low. I could only wash my hair by kneeling in the bath.

Hotel very quiet as we were there out of season. Nice welcome, pleasant staff. Our room was quite old fashioned (but is is a very old hotel so in keeping with that) but big with a comfortable king size bed, plenty of drawer space, but only space to hang clothes on a rail or hooks in the corner of the room. We had a setee, TV, a tea/coffee station with biscuits. We had 2 oil heaters in the bedroom which were needed as the room was quite cold even though the old fashioned radiator was on, it was in a bay window and behind the thick curtains at night. We had a large ensuite bathroom which was up 2 stairs. Very clean but both the bathroom light and the shaver light did not work. We informed the staff and they double checked immediately and then offered us to change rooms as it wouldn't be fixed until Monday. We were quite happy to stay in the room and manage but they couldn't apologise enough. Resteraunt/bar area very nice. Food was good but limited menu. Breakfast was OK, choices of juice, teas, coffees, cereals and jams, toast and several choices of cooked breakfasts. We didn't have a long wait to be served as we were the only guests eating/drinking and staying at the hotel. Hotel car park is over the road but it not very big and can get busy in season as the public can park there too, so give your registration number on your arrival. Bus stop just by the hotel, 2 minutes to walk into the village. Plenty of local footpaths. Beddgelert station 2 mins away.

Booked this hotel for a weekend due to location to Watkin Path. Staff so kind & helpful, Rooms clean & tidy with ensuite bathrooms including baths in two out of 3 rooms booked. Use of lift to rooms. Breakfast selection plentiful and hot, evening meals superb & well priced. Hotel also offers a cool room to store food & drinks for your climb, as well as offering a snack pack to buy for your day out. The Goat Hotel is based in Beddgelert & walking distance to amenities. We will definitely be booking for a return visit.

The staff were so amazing and sweet. We enjoyed our time there and it was easily walkable to train or any other places we wanted to go. Also rented bikes and loved our ride around the area and to the sea.

I was a little nervous, I’ll admit, due to other more negative reviews, but there really was nothing to be worried about.
The room was great, it wasn’t noticeably unclean or anything like that. Bed was comfortable, area was quiet, and I have no complaints.
The staff were welcoming and polite, and the food was really good also. The surrounding village is beautiful, and the Rhydd Ddu path up Mount Snowdon is one bus stop away (or 8KM walk), which is a bonus.

Slept well
Brilliant location for a walking weekend in Snowdonia. Very comfortable and great food. The service was struggling, but the staff were hard working and eager, so easy to be lenient.

My husband and I stayed here for a last-minute trip and were not disappointed. The hotel is charming - it's an older building with an old-world feel to it. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful and the location cannot be rivaled. We definitely have plans to return the next time we're in the UK.

The breakfasts were great and the staff very attentive. Our room was clean and I liked the large towels. However, the water for the tea time shower was cold. Overall I would stay there again.

The web page states Free breakfast with every room type, but the confirmation was room only. When i asked about this i was told i had chosen this option. We were in room 38, in the roof. The room was cold on arrival, the heating was off , it never came on, but there was a small plug in heater. The window didn't close and the wind kept opening it. The lift was adjoined to the room so it made a terrible noise every time it was called. This room looks nothing like the images on Hotels.com
The bar area was nice with a good selection of drinks, and the Menu has nice options. The guys working there were nice. Parking opposite is free. I had to pay extra for breakfast. i feel i was mislead

The property is a Victorian building and is slowly being restored by the new owners. It is a work in progress and may not meet the full standards a modern traveller expects. However, the manager is brilliant, the rooms were clean, beds comfortable, shower hot and powerful and food (only curries sampled) was brilliant. Please go with an open mind and cut them a little slack if things aren't quite perfect, they're getting there.
