When I arrived the owner did all the paperwork swiftly and showed me around. From a European point of view, this is spectacular:clean, modern, small yes but you get your own space when closing the curtains of your bunk bed, there's wifi, a power socket and a shelf for your bags. Air con works perfectly. Downstairs in the commons tea, coffee and ice water is available. Towels and Japanese yukata are available to hire, 100y each and all the rest of the toiletries are available and free to use.
The owners are talking to everybody, keeping updates on weather, visits to do and events in town. The 100 years old building is located south of the old nara, a bit of a walk from the station but still a great place to stay. Highly recommended!
